NASA to launch streaming platform called NASA+

American space agency NASA is all set to launch its own streaming platform called NASA+. NASA+ will not just feature live broadcast but also collections of original video series. NASA makes it more attractive by making the streaming platform free via the official NASA app on iOS and Android.

NASA+ will also be available on Fire TV and on the web across desktop and mobile devices. The original video series is expected to cover NASA's space missions along with new space contents.

Marc Etkind from NASA's Office of Communications said that transforming the digital space would help in delivering stories on how NASA explores the unknown in air and space, inspires through discovery, and innovates for the benefit of humanity.

"We’re putting space on demand and at your fingertips with NASA’s new streaming platform. Transforming our digital presence will help us better tell the stories of how NASA explores the unknown in air and space, inspires through discovery, and innovates for the benefit of humanity", said Etkind.

NASA is also giving its entire digital platform an overhaul. Currently NASA livestreams all the launches and events through its website. NASA released a trailer announcing the streaming services along with the beta website which is available for the users.
