As technology evolves, so does our perception of what constitutes privacy and security. Over the past few years, privacy has grown from being a comfort to being recognised as a fundamental right in India. The landmark ‘Puttaswamy judgment’, as it’s commonly referred to, gave each and every citizen of the country the right to protect their personal information. However, this right needs to be matched by our own capabilities to safeguard this data, especially in the age of instant messaging.
