When the whole world was wondering about Shah Rukh Khan&rsquo;s next film, the actor brought a big smile to everyone&rsquo;s faces by announcing &lsquo;Dunki&rsquo;. The film was announced today with an endearing video, unveiling the title which featured Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan in playful banter.

Speaking about the film, the film&rsquo;s director Rajkumar Hirani said that through the course of his career, Shah Rukh Khan had always been on his wish list and after trying to collaborate several times in the past, they were finally destined to have &lsquo;Dunki&rsquo; mark their partnership.&nbsp;

On his part, Shah Rukh Khan said that Rajkumar Hirani was one of the finest filmmakers of this generation and they had always spoken about working together. He added that he was extremely happy that they were finally doing it with &lsquo;Dunki&rsquo;.&nbsp;

Tapsee Pannu, who is the leading lady in the film, said she was beyond excited to embark on this journey and be a part of this very special film. She added it was her first time working with Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan, two people who she deeply respects and admires.

The film is being bankrolled by Jio Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment and Rajkumar Hirani Films. It is written by Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijaat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon and produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan. &lsquo;Dunki&rsquo; is scheduled to release on December 22, 2023.
