MIUI 13, the latest version of Xiaomi&rsquo;s Android-based OS, was also launched. MIUI will also be taking over as Xiaomi&rsquo;s custom skin for smartwatches, smart home devices, and TVs over the coming year.
<h2>Xiaomi 12 Pro price and availability</h2>
In China, the Xiaomi 12 Pro is priced starting at around ₹55,100 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, while the top-end 12GB + 256GB model will cost around ₹63,300.
The smartphone will be available in China starting December 31. Xiaomi has not announced any plans for pricing or availability in any other market yet, including India.

<h2>Xiaomi 12 Pro specs</h2>
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
It features a 6.73-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate with LTPO technology. The display has a peak brightness of 1500 nits, Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and a touch sampling rate of 480Hz. The phone also a four-speaker sound system, tuned by Harman Kardon.
At the back, the Xiaomi 12 Pro features a triple rear camera setup, with a 50MP Sony IMX707 sensor for the main camera, along with a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP portrait camera. For selfies, there&rsquo;s a 32MP camera on the front.
Xiaomi has packed in a 4,600mAh battery that supports a blazing fast 120W fast wired charging, along with 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

MIUI 13 claims to bring many performance improvements over MIUI 12.5. Xiaomi says that the new OS will deliver between 20-26% improved &lsquo;fluency&rsquo; for system apps, and 15-52% fluency for third party apps, when compared to MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Version.
MIUI 13 will also bring new privacy and security enhancements, including a &lsquo;Privacy Security Goalkeeper&rsquo; feature, with a system-level anti-fraud feature.
Along with this, Xiaomi will bring features like Focus Computing 2.0, liquid storage, and atomic memory, which all aim to make the user experience faster and smoother.

<h3>MIUI 13 update: which phones will get it?</h3>
The Xiaomi 12 series will launch with MIUI 13 out of the box. The company has not yet officially confirmed which other phones will get the update. A report by blog Xiaomiui indicates that the Mi Mix 4, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11, Xiaomi 11 Lite, Mi 10S, Redmi K40 Pro+, Redmi K40 Pro, Redmi K40, and Redmi Note 10 Pro would be receiving the update.
Xiaomi India is yet to specify which of the company&rsquo;s smartphones in India will get the MIUI 13 update.
