Primetta&nbsp;Giacopini, 105 year old who lived through the Spanish Flu and World War 2, succumbed to Covid-19 on September 16.
After Giacopini's mother died of the Flu, her father gave her away to an Italian foster family.&nbsp;
Grown up in Italy, Giacopini&nbsp;supported herself by working as a seamstress and fell in love with an Italian pilot&nbsp;Vittorio Andriani.&nbsp;
In June 1940, Giacopini&nbsp;was warned twice to leave Italy to escape Benito Mussolini's rule.&nbsp;
When Andriani&nbsp;went missing in 1941, she left for Portugal from where she travelled to the USA. Andriani&nbsp;died in a plane crash.&nbsp;
While working for General Motors in the US, she met her husband Umbert&nbsp;Giacopini. They stayed married till his death in 2002.&nbsp;
On Sept. 9, Giacopini's&nbsp;daughter, Dorene noticed that her mother was coughing.&nbsp;
Over the next few days her condition deteriorated and she developed pneumonia.&nbsp;
She was put on oxygen.&nbsp;
Her daughter faced a choice between putting Giacopini&nbsp;on ventilator or removing her oxygen.&nbsp;
She had her oxygen removed. Primetta&nbsp;Giacopini&nbsp;died on Sept. 16 at the age of 105.&nbsp;

A British World War II bomb exploded while being made safe underwater by navy demolition specialists in northwestern Poland on Tuesday.
The 5.4-ton Tallboy bomb was found in September 2019 beneath a waterway leading to the port of Szczecin during work to deepen the passage.
More than 750 people were evacuated for the sappers' operation since it was located on the southern edge of the popular Baltic Sea resort of Swinoujscie, which like Szczecin was a busy Nazi Germany military port during the war.
