The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) will hold its Executive Council meeting on Thursday to look for "actionable solutions" to end the current impasse in the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).
IOA president PT Usha said the Olympic body decided to hold the meeting soon after the sports ministry stalled the federation's elections on May 7 and asked the sport's governing body to constitute an ad-hoc committee and conduct the polls within 45 days of its formation.
"In light of the letter received from GoI-MYAS, IOA undertakes the urgency of the matter. Our scheduled EC meet on 27 April will discuss &amp; provide actionable solutions to the current impasse in WFI. IOA is committed to the betterment of our sportspersons &amp; its sporting ecosystem," Usha tweeted.

Eight Indian wrestlers, including Vinesh Phogat &amp; Bajrang Punia, have pulled out of the upcoming Zagreb Open, stating they are not ready for the competition.
Apart from Vinesh &amp; Bajrang, Tokyo Olympics silver medallist Ravi Dahiya, world championship medallist Deepak Punia &amp; talented youngster Anshu Malik, have all decided not to participate.
The wrestlers during their 3-day protest had said that they will not compete in any tournament till the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) is disbanded and its chief Brijbhushan Sharan Singh sacked.
They communicated their decision about non-participation on the day of the team announcement.
A Sports Authority of India official told PTI that the reason they have given is they are not feeling 100 percent. The source further said that their decision to pull out is not going to be appreciated.

A seasoned politician, the sexual harassment allegations against him add to a long list of misdeeds he's been accused of.
Singh was an accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case. He has also had a case against him for harbouring associates from the underworld in the 90s.

Out of the 30 grapplers picked by the Wrestling Federation of India, only nine were granted visas.&nbsp;
Commenting on the bizarre situation, WFI assistant secretary Vinod Tomar said that Indian wrestlers are strong medal contenders but they were denied the opportunity to shine on the big stage.&nbsp;
Interestingly, out of 10 freestyle wrestlers, only one got the visa but three freestyle coaches got the nod to travel to Spain.&nbsp;
