The third feature, 'automatic security codes', allows users to confirm that they communicate with the intended recipient. WhatsApp is particularly focused on thwarting unauthorised WhatsApp applications that may contain spyware, and as such, has implemented additional checks to authenticate user accounts. While Android users already have access to these features, iOS users can expect to receive the upgrade in the near future.
