Vivek Oberoi, who recently appeared in Rohit Shetty's web series &lsquo;Indian Police Force,&rsquo; has opened up about his entrepreneurial journey despite a successful film career with hits like the &lsquo;Masti&rsquo; franchise, &lsquo;Saathiya,&rsquo; &lsquo;Shootout at Lokhandwala,&rsquo; and &lsquo;Omkara,&rsquo; among others. In a recent interview with India News, Vivek revealed that he stopped receiving movie offers due to lobbying in Bollywood.
He said, &lsquo;I have been involved in other businesses for a while now. There was a phase when my movies were successful and my performances were appreciated, yet for other reasons, I wasn't getting any roles. When you become the victim of a system and lobby, you are left with two options: either get depressed or take it as a challenge and write your own destiny. I chose the latter path and ended up starting several businesses.&rsquo;
Vivek Oberoi's career faced a downturn after a public feud with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. In a 2003 press conference, Vivek accused Salman of threatening him due to his then-relationship with Aishwarya Rai. Following their breakup, Aishwarya married Abhishek Bachchan in April 2007, and they welcomed their daughter, Aaradhya, in November 2011.
Two decades later, Vivek opened up about the 'unnecessary stuff' that discouraged him and left him without work.
&lsquo;In hindsight, I went through a lot of unnecessary stuff,&rsquo; he told Hindustan Times. Discussing lobbying and 'repressive stories' in Bollywood, Vivek described these as the industry's dark sides, saying he bore the brunt of it all.
Speaking about how Vivek managed during that time, Suresh Oberoi recently told Bollywood Hungama, &lsquo;It is his strength that he got through this. If it was someone else, they might have become an alcoholic or a drug addict. People were really against him. Media, and people in the film industry, even the actors&hellip; sometimes when someone becomes successful very quickly, others can&rsquo;t take it.&rsquo;

Aftab took to Instagram on February 29 and shared the news with fans. In his post, he shared the poster and a picture with the makers of the film. &ldquo;Time to buckle up for the OG rollercoaster of laughs! #Masti4 is going on floors soon, and we couldn&rsquo;t be more thrilled! With producers A Jhunjhunwala, S. K. Ahluwalia, Indra Kumar, and Ashok Thakeria, and director Milap Zaveri at the helm, we are ready to embark on the fun filled ride,&rdquo; he wrote in the caption. &nbsp;
The trio first teamed up for 'Masti' in 2004, followed by 'Grand Masti' in 2013. The third part of the film &lsquo;Grand Grand Masti&rsquo; came in 2016. The first three parts were directed by Indra Kumar while this time the film is helmed by Milap Zaveri. Talking about the project, Milap shared &ldquo;At its core, Masti 4 is a celebration of friendship, marriage, mischief, and the undying spirit of laughter. We want to go back to the OG for its essence and bring back laughter with a new story that will resonate and while delivering a fresh dose of hilarity and heart.&rdquo; &nbsp;&nbsp;
Fans are very excited for the film. &ldquo;Matlab 4 Guna Masti?&rdquo; one of the fans asked. &ldquo;Ek bar fir se masti karege sir,&rdquo; another fan commented.&nbsp;
Talking about the female star cast, Amrita Rao, Genelia D&rsquo;Souza and Tara Sharma were seen in part one of the movie while part two featured Karishma Tanna, Sonalee Kulkarni and Manjari Fadnis and part three had Mishti, Pooja Bose and Shraddha Das. The female star cast of &lsquo;Masti 4&rsquo; is not yet disclosed. The film is expected to go on floors soon. &nbsp;

Days after Priyanka Chopra spoke about how she faced opposition in Bollywood, actor Vivek Oberoi opened up about his journey in the industry and said that he went through a lot of &lsquo;unnecessary stuff&rsquo; which completely exhausted him, and crushed his morale, but he &lsquo;survived&rsquo;.
For the unversed, on April 1, 2003, Vivek called a press conference in which he claimed that superstar <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/salman-khan-s-fans-stop-from-gathering-outside-his-galaxy-apartment-after-threat-email-reports-1679381463353">Salman Khan</a> threatened him over phone calls. At that time, he was reportedly in a relationship with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman&rsquo;s former girlfriend.

&lsquo;In hindsight, I went through a lot of stuff that was unnecessary. A lot of lobbies, a lot of repressive stories &ndash; kind of what Priyanka has been alluding to also. That&rsquo;s been a hallmark of our industry, unfortunately. It&rsquo;s been one of the dark sides of our industry. And I&rsquo;ve been on the receiving end of it. I know how frustrating it is, it can make one feel extremely, exhausted and tired. You feel like, I&rsquo;ve just delivered an award-winning, commercially successful performance in Shoot out Lokhandwala and after that, I&rsquo;m sitting at home for 14 months, not getting any work,&rsquo; he said.
Calling Priyanka&rsquo;s statement &lsquo;inspirational&rsquo;, he praised the &lsquo;Citadel&rsquo; actor for exploring something new, which led to something &lsquo;magical&rsquo; happening to her personally and professionally.
&lsquo;Back in the day when I voiced against it, every &lsquo;well wisher&rsquo; would call me up and say, &lsquo;Don&rsquo;t talk about it. It is like a family secret&rsquo;. But if you have abuse going on in the family and you don&rsquo;t speak up about it because it&rsquo;s a family secret? That&rsquo;s stupid. How will the abuse get fixed? So, it&rsquo;s a systemic issue in the industry which is getting better. People are being more vocal,&rsquo; he said.
&lsquo;There is more decentralization of power. Less and less people can play God and the fans are now aware. Sushant (Singh Rajput, late actor) should have never lost his life no matter what. It&rsquo;s just so sad. What a talented young guy and he should have had a better network of friends. You call the industry, a family, then the family should be there for each other,&rsquo; he added.

Actor Vivek Oberoi, who was last seen in the crime-thriller series 'Dharavi Bank', talked about his journey in Bollywood and his past relationship with actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
In an exclusive interview with Indian Express, he cited the example of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and mentioned how lobby in the industry tried to destroy him.
'It is breaking. Look at what Sushant Singh Rajput went through, or so many other kids go through, so much talent gets crushed because it was somebody&rsquo;s decision, for reasons other than work, to just destroy someone. There is so much power in some people&rsquo;s hands, there is a God complex, which needs to go,&rsquo; he said.
Vivek Oberoi added, 'We can&rsquo;t have too much power in their hand where they can think that they can make or break someone, and ensure that people don&rsquo;t work in this industry again. People have said this to me and they actually believe it. It&rsquo;s our fault as an industry that we&rsquo;ve given that kind of power to them. That pedestal should be given only to talent &mdash; new, old, upcoming, established, that is the most important.'
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, he was asked if going public with his relationship with Aishwarya Rai during his early days affected his professional life, to which he replied, 'Not that I am going to answer this question because it's done and dusted.'
'But, for any youth, young talented people who are watching today, just remember one thing in life if you are really focused and committed to your work, and you&rsquo;re giving it your hundred per cent&hellip; my only advice is that see if they can't attack you on your professionalism, if they can&rsquo;t attack you on your talent, if they can&rsquo;t attack you on the work you do, don't give them an opportunity to attack you on something else and shift the focus. Don&rsquo;t do that. That would be a disservice to yourself and to your commitment to your career.' he said.
Vivek briefly dated Aishwarya Rai and they parted ways in 2003. Earlier, he claimed that Salman Khan, Aishwarya&rsquo;s former boyfriend, had threatened him for dating her, which allegedly harmed his career.
Vivek married Priyanka Alva, daughter of Karnataka minister Jeevaraj Alva, in October 2010. They are blessed with two kids.

Nearly 300 daily wage workers have halted work on OTT show 'Dharavi Bank' following unpaid dues of almost a month.
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) says the workers were building the set of the Zee Studios backed series Dharavi Bank, starring Vivek Oberoi and Suniel Shetty, at the film city in suburban Goregaon.
Work came to a halt on Tuesday afternoon, since more than Rs 50 lakhs in unpaid wages are yet to be cleared by the production house.
Zee Studios in a statement has said, there is "no question of payment delays". The statement added, the fact is that there wasn’t any discipline of documentation from the crew employed. Zee says the payouts aren't held up due to any wilful delay.
