<p>The BJP has removed its Kisan Morcha district vice-president, Vikul Chaprana, from all posts and suspended his primary party membership after a video purportedly showing him publicly humiliating a cloth trader circulated online, officials said on Thursday.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The action follows the video in which Chaprana was seen allegedly forcing the cloth trader to rub his nose on the road.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The order of his suspension was issued by BJP Kisan Morcha regional president Teja Gurjar on Wednesday, who said the conduct was "against party discipline" and reflective of a "criminal mindset".&nbsp;</p>
<p>The incident, which took place at Meerut's Tejgarhi crossing on October 19, involved trader Satyam Rastogi, who had parked his vehicle outside a restaurant.&nbsp;</p>
<p>A dispute over parking allegedly led Chaprana to force the trader to rub his nose on the road and apologise, officials said.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The episode was captured on video and quickly went viral on social media, triggering outrage.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vipin Tada said the investigation has been handed over to the Superintendent of Police (City).&nbsp;</p>
<p>Chaprana, who was arrested earlier, has been granted bail by a court. Police have also arrested three of his associates -- Happy Bhadana, Ayush Sharma, and Subodh Yadav -- while efforts are on to nab the others involved.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Additional charges related to obstruction of road and vehicle vandalism have been added to the FIR, police said. The incident sparked widespread condemnation from opposition parties and business organisations.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Congress have demanded the resignation of Minister of State for Energy, Somendra Tomar, whom Chaprana mentioned in the viral video.&nbsp;</p>
<p>SP leaders Vipin Chaudhary and Mukhia Gurjar staged protests, demanding the invocation of the Gangsters Act and the National Security Act (NSA) against the accused.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The Meerut Vyapar Mandal, led by district president Jeetu Singh Nagpal, also held a demonstration, demanding strict legal action to ensure traders' safety and end the &ldquo;atmosphere of fear&rdquo;.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Rastogi later told police that he was satisfied with the action taken and had no personal dispute with anyone. However, the viral video continued to fuel political tension and public outrage across the state.</p>

<p>A 22-year-old man allegedly died by suicide by jumping off the Bhagalpur bridge on the Ballia-Deoria district border shortly after posting a video on social media claiming he was falsely implicated in an abduction case, the police said on Tuesday.</p>
<p>Vishal Gupta was named as an accused in a case registered on June 8 at the Bheempura police station for allegedly abducting a minor girl, the police said, adding that the girl's mother had lodged the complaint.</p>
<p>Vishal&rsquo;s body was recovered on Monday from the Saryu River near the Bhagalpur bridge, which connects the Ballia and Deoria districts, Rasra Circle Officer Alok Gupta said, adding that his body has been sent to Deoria for post-mortem.</p>
<p>A video circulating on social media purportedly shows Vishal expressing despair, claiming he had been wrongfully framed in the abduction case.</p>
<p>In the video, he states that he has no other option left and is seen parking his motorcycle on the bridge before taking the extreme step.</p>
<p>&ldquo;No written complaint has been received from the family of the deceased, so far,&rdquo; the officer added.</p>
<p>The police are investigating the matter further.</p>

<p>Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi has ordered a probe to ascertain the authenticity of a video purporting to show an apple grower in the Rohru area of Shimla district throwing his produce into a stream.</p>
<p>"The video is 20 days old and the claim that the apple rotted due to road closures is wrong and misleading as an alternate route was opened," he told PTI on Monday.</p>
<p>Negi, who suspects BJP leaders were behind the video being circulated, said the subdivisional magistrate has been asked to look into the matter.</p>
<p>In a purported video circulating on social media, a pickup truck can be seen parked on the roadside in Rohru town while a farmer dumps several crates of apples in a stream.</p>
<p>Daulat Ram, the up-pradhan of Varal village, wrote to the tehsildar claiming that the Blasan-Chanri-Padsari Road linking the village to the main road was closed since July 9 after heavy rain caused landslides.</p>
<p>About 68 crates of apples were thrown in a stream by three farmers, he said in the letter.</p>
<p>According to preliminary investigations, the grower stated that he did not make the video, the minister said.</p>
<p>Negi said the grower threw away the apples damaged in the heavy rain but the video was made by some other people who posted it on social media.</p>
<p>The video became viral on Saturday, inviting the ire of opposition leaders and social media users and forcing the authorities to reopen the road on Sunday.</p>

A case has been registered against the accused under relevant provisions of Indian Penal Code for abduction and beating following the complaint of the victim's family, Sharma said.

<p>Amid an uproar over the Sidhi urination incident in Madhya Pradesh, a video has now surfaced showing a man licking the soles of another person's feet after being forced to do so in a moving vehicle in Gwalior, following which two persons have been arrested, police said.</p>
<p>The video has gone viral on social media.</p>
<p>The victim and the accused are residents of Dabra town in Gwalior district, an official said.</p>
<p>The viral video shows the victim being slapped several times by another man, who also forces the former to say "Golu Gurjar baap hai" (Golu Gurjar is father) in a moving vehicle.</p>
<p>The victim is then seen licking the soles of the feet of the man after the latter forces him to do so. The accused is also seen thrashing the victim on his face repeatedly and verbally abusing him.</p>
<p>In another video clip, the accused is seen hitting the victim on his face with a footwear several times.</p>
<p>Speaking about the incident, state Home Minister Narottam Mishra said two persons have been arrested in connection with this incident.</p>
<p>Dabra Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Vivek Kumar Sharma said, "A video went viral on social media on Friday evening that shows a man being thrashed in a vehicle. The video clip is being sent for a forensic examination." A case has been registered against the accused under relevant provisions of Indian Penal Code for abduction and beating following the complaint of the victim's family, Sharma said.</p>
