Police have registered a case against filmmaker Kamal Kishor Mishra for allegedly ramming his car into his wife after she spotted him with another woman in the vehicle in Mumbai, an official said.
The filmmaker's wife was injured in the incident which took place on October 19 in the parking area of a residential building in suburban Andheri, he said.
Mishra is the producer of Hindi film 'Dehati Disco'.
The filmmaker's wife lodged a police complaint against him saying she came out looking for her husband and found him with another woman in his car in the parking area, the Amboli police official said on Wednesday.
When she went to confront him, he drove the car to escape from the spot and in the process hit her, causing injuries to her legs, hand and head, the official said quoting the complaint.

Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered at the Amboli police station against Mishra under relevant Indian Penal Code sections including 279 (rash driving) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), he said.
Further investigation is underway, the official added.

The men manhandled the head constable." "An FIR has been registered at Para police station. We have identified the accused and efforts are on to arrest them," he said.

A 19-year-old man was injured after a car rammed into his bike in central Delhi's Karol Bagh on Monday, police said.  After hitting the bike, the car hit several other vehicles parked on the side of the road, police said, adding that the driver, identified as Sudhir Jain, was apprehended from the spot.
The vehicle hit a two-wheeler following which Himanshu sustained injuries. His condition is stated to be stable, a senior police officer said.
The accident was captured on CCTV camera. The footage of the incident shows Jain's Fortuner car hitting the bike after which it rammed into three-four more vehicles.
Jain was sent for medical examination to ascertain whether he was under the influence of alcohol, the officer said.
Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor denied that Jain was a member of his party.
"He was a member of Delhi BJP's Traders cell around 2008-09 after which he quit politics and stopped taking part in party programmes," Kapoor said.

Peeved over the alleged non-payment of his dues worth over Rs 2.50 lakh, a construction contractor set a builder's luxury Mercedes car in Noida on fire, officials said on Wednesday.
Contractor Ranveer (40) has been arrested. The incident had taken place outside the builder's home on Monday and the episode was caught on a CCTV camera, Deputy Commissioner of Police Harish Chander said.
A footage of the episode showed contactor Ranveer on a road outside builder Ayush Chauhan's house in the Sadarpur area under the Sector 39 police station limits during the daylight incident two days ago.
Ranveer had reached there on a motorcycle and wearing a helmet.
The Mercedes car of the builder was parked on the road and the contractor, without removing his helmet, went near it, poured some flammable liquid on it and then set it on fire, the footage showed.
"The contractor was arrested on Wednesday. He claimed a financial dispute with the builder because of which the contractor said he took this step," DCP Chander said.
Chauhan had on Tuesday filed a complaint against Ranveer at the local police station, leading to his arrest on Wednesday. He was booked under the Indian Penal Code Section 435 (mischief by fire with intent to cause damage). Officials said the builder had been hiring the contractor for work since 2018-2019.
The builder allegedly owed over Rs 2.50 lakh to the contractor for some tile work and this had led to arguments between them recently, the officials said.
When asked about the contractor's claims, the DCP told PTI, "Whether any payment was due or the money has been paid to the contractor is part of inquiry. We have not received any complaint from the contractor but if we get it, we will probe the matter."

The basic education officer here on Thursday said he has ordered a probe after a clip purportedly showing students being forced to clean toilets at a district primary school surfaced on social media.
The video shows the children cleaning a toilet, while a man is seen scolding them. The man also threatens to lock the toilet if the students did not do as asked.
Basic Education Officer Maniram Singh said the video went viral on Wednesday.
The video is said to be of the primary school at Pipra Kala in the Sohavn area here. The man's identity is yet to be ascertained.
Singh said he had sought a report from the Sohavn block education officer.
Necessary action against those responsible would be taken once the report is submitted, he added.

A video of a teacher repeatedly slapping a girl student at a primary government school surfaced on social media, prompting the authorities to suspend the educator in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam district, an official said on Sunday.
An inquiry has also been initiated against the teacher J K Mogara, after the purported video of the incident that took place at a government primary school at Mamatkheda was circulated on social media on Saturday, district education officer (DEO) K C Sharma said.
The authorities have also received a complaint that girl students have not been attending the primary school for Classes 1 to 5, as the teacher would allegedly slap them, the official said.
Following the complaint, the teacher was suspended and an inquiry has been initiated against him.
According to sources, while the incident took place on Thursday, the video surfaced on social media on Saturday.
In another video shot on the same day, the teacher was seen slapping some other girls.
Talking to reporters, the victim said several girls don't come to school for the fear of being slapped by the teacher and this was a regular occurrence.

Saif Ali was booked under charges of “breach of peace” for hiding behind the burqa, police said.
Ali had got a job away from his home and before moving out, he wanted to meet his girlfriend in Mehmadpur village of Sidhauli Police Station area.
Since he was known in the area, he wore a 'burqa' to hide his identity and went to meet his girlfriend on Tuesday, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sanjeev Bajpai said on Thursday.
His appearance behind the burqa stoked suspicions of the locals, who asked Ali to remove it, and when they found a man underneath, they informed the police.
One of the locals also made a video of the incident which is in circulation on social media.
Bajpai said Ali has been taken into custody under sections of breach of peace.

Sources said the case was registered after investigations revealed that all the eight boys sexually assaulted the two girls in the group on different occasions at several places, using the video clips of the sexual acts.
City police commissioner N Shashi Kumar said the probe will be taken to its logical end. The college managements should keep a vigil on students’ activities and bring to the notice of the police such cases of extreme indiscipline and misconduct, he said.
