Yesterday (July 8), the news about actor Vikram suffering a heart attack spread like wildfire all across. Reports stated that the actor was admitted at Chennai's Kauvery hospital after he complained of discomfort due to high fever symptoms. Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram took to social media and denied any such incident. 
Dhruv Vikram took to Instagram stories and wrote, “Dear fans and well-wishers, Appa had mild chest discomfort and is being treated for the same. He DID NOT have a heart attack as reports falsely claim. We are pained to hear rumors to this effect. That being said, we request you to give him and our family the privacy we need at this time. Chiyaan is fine now. He is likely to be discharged from the hospital in a day. We hope this statement provides clarity and trust that the false rumors will be put to rest’. 
On the film front, Vikram will be soon seen in ‘Ponniyin Selvan Part 1’ alongwith Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The film also stars Karthi, Trisha and Jayam Ravi in important roles. The film is being directed by Mani Ratnam and has its music composed by AR Rahman.

However, his son Dhruv Vikram took to social media to give an update on the actor's health and rubbished the reports suggesting heart attack.
