Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje was excluded from BJP's key election panels

Months before Rajasthan goes to elections, the BJP has excluded former CM Vasundhara Raje from two crucial election panels.
Raje's name is neither in the manifesto committee nor the election management panel.
The BJP is reportedly facing a problem of plenty in Rajasthan, with several leaders vying for the top spot.
Other CM aspirants like Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Leader of Opposition in Assembly Rajendra Rathore, and former state chief Satish Poonia are also missing from the committee list.
When asked about Raje&rsquo;s exclusion, BJP leader Arun Singh said, &ldquo;She also has a role, you don&rsquo;t have to worry. She is the party&rsquo;s national vice president, two-term chief minister, and has a big role."
Singh added that Raje will be deeply involved in the election campaign.

Gehlot's then deputy Sachin Pilot and 18 other Congress MLAs had revolted against his leadership in July 2020.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday claimed Vasundhara Raje and two other BJP leaders had helped save his government during the 2020 revolt by his party MLAs.
He also took potshots at the rebel Congress MLAs saying they should return the money they had taken from the BJP so that they can carry out their duty without any pressure.
Gehlot's then deputy Sachin Pilot and 18 other Congress MLAs had revolted against his leadership in July 2020. The month-long crisis ended after the intervention of the party high command. Pilot was then removed as the deputy chief minister and state Congress president.
Addressing a programme in Dholpur, Gehlot said his government could be saved because of the support of three BJP leaders -- former chief minister Vasundhara Raje, former assembly speaker Kailash Meghwal and MLA Shobharani Kushwah.
