Tamil actor Prabhu was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai on February 20. He suffered severe abdominal pain and was rushed to a private hospital in Kodambakkam. After several tests he was diagnosed with kidney stones. &nbsp;
The ace actor underwent ureteroscopy laser surgery and his kidney stones were successfully removed. He is recovering and will be discharged from the hospital in a day or two, confirmed the statement from the hospital management.
The doctors also added that routine check-ups will be conducted before discharging him.
Medway Hospitals wrote, &lsquo;Prabhu was brought to the hospital due to problems in his kidney. We found stones in his kidney and they were removed through ureteroscopy surgery with laser treatment. He is completely in good health. After a few regular check-ups, he will be sent home in one or two days.&rsquo;
The family members of the actor have not commented on the matter yet.
Prabhu is a prominent actor and producer of the Tamil cinema. He is the son of legendary actor Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan. The actor, who made his debut in 1982 with &lsquo;Sangili&rsquo;, has worked in over 200 films. He is now playing supporting roles in movies across South languages.
On the work front, Prabhu will be seen next in Mani Ratnam's &lsquo;Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2&rsquo;. He was last seen in Thalapathy Vijay's &lsquo;Varisu&rsquo;.&nbsp;

A recent video of her interaction with fans post the event has surfaced on the internet in which she is seen schooling them about the traffic rules.
After the event, Rashmika was on her way back to the hotel in her car and two fans chased her on a motorcycle. As her car comes to a halt, the fans are seen struggling to get near to talk to her. A day before Vijay Thalapathy’s 48th birthday, the title and the first-look poster of his forthcoming film was unveiled on Tuesday. The actor took to Twitter to make the announcement. The film, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, which was tentatively called ‘Thalapathy 66,’ has now been titled ‘Varisu.’ 
Vijay looks classy in the formal attire and his somber expression in the poster perfectly matches with tagline which reads, ‘The Boss Returns.’
Rashmika Mandanna, who will star opposite Vijay in the film, also shared it the first-look poster on her Twitter handle and wrote, ‘So excited for the first look!’
‘Varisu,’ which is being shot in Hyderabad, is Telugu director Vamshi’s first Tamil project. The film is being produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under the Sri Venkateshwara Creations production banner.
‘Varisu’ also stars Shaam, Yogi Babu, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, and Jayasudha in key roles. It is expected to release in theatres during Sankranti/Pongal festival next year.
