The upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha Elections for the Ayodhya constituency in Uttar Pradesh, one among the 80 constituencies in the state, are highly anticipated after the construction of the Ram Temple in the state.
Being the largest state in India by population, Uttar Pradesh commands the highest number of Lok Sabha seats, which is 80.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demonstrated a solid majority in UP in the previous two Lok Sabha elections, gaining the majority of seats.
Meanwhile, the BJP has again fielded sitting MP Lallu Singh from Ayodhya for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
"The planning and preparations for the Lok Sabha polls with the party workers are underway. We are making strategies with the booth workers. Under the vision and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the NDA is surely going to win more than 400 seats in the general elections. Ayodhya is one of the most beautiful places in the country," the sitting MP of Ayodhya said.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said those involved in recruitment exams leaks have been given a &ldquo;fitting lesson&rdquo; and their &ldquo;houses were raided and properties confiscated&rdquo;.
Distributing appointment letters to 39 sub-divisional magistrates (SDMs), 41 deputy superintendents of police (DSPs) and 16 treasurer/account officers selected by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission at his official residence, Adityanath said that the selection was completed in record time.
"For the first time, any commission and board has completed the selection process in just nine months. The selection process was completely fair and transparent without any recommendation or interference.
&ldquo;Those who tried to tamper with the integrity of the examination suffered the consequences. Their houses were raided and properties confiscated. The government has decided to teach all those who play with the future of the youth a fitting lesson,&rdquo; the chief minister was quoted as saying in an official statement.
Adityanath said the overall perception of the state changes when the government works with honesty.
"You must have seen that those who faced an identity crisis in the state earlier, proudly say today that they belong to Uttar Pradesh. The transformation has been facilitated by the government's decision-making process," he said.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said Uttar Pradesh will soon become the first state in the country to have fire stations at the tehsil level.
He added that over 70 fire stations have been set up across the state in the last seven years.
The chief minister was speaking at an event where he virtually inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 38 fire stations from his official residence
Adityanath said, "The UP Fire and Emergency Services was established in the state in the year 1944. However, until 2017, only 288 fire stations were established in the state, while in the last 7 years, over 70 new fire stations have been set up. Today, we are moving ahead to become the first state in the country to have fire stations at the tehsil level." The chief minister also flagged off 35 firefighting vehicles during the event.
"We have advanced the programme of extensive reforms in law enforcement. As a result, rapid modernisation is taking place in fire services in view of its importance in dealing with emergencies. So far, we have allocated approximately Rs 1,400 crore for the strengthening of departmental services," he said.
Adityanath emphasised the need to prioritise reducing response times for fire tenders to mitigate loss of life and property.
The chief minister said that reducing department response time will strengthen the common man's trust in the department and the government.

Consisting of three cars, the trainset was transported on large trailers and has been unloaded for further assembly and testing.

The Make in India, Meerut Metro trainsets, with their modern design, are energy efficient, lightweight, and equipped with a regenerative braking system compatible with Automatic Train Protection (ATP), Automatic Train Control (ATC), and Automatic Train Operations (ATO).
The Metro train has a maximum operational speed of 120 kmph and aims to provide a safe, fast, and modern transportation solution for the residents of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh. With the arrival of the Meerut Metro trainset, the trial runs of Meerut Metro will be started soon.

Under the 'Amrit Bharat' scheme, the central government has decided to develop 10 stations of the Prayagraj Division of the North Central Railway.

The Khurja Junction station, which is less than 30 kilometres from the upcoming Noida International Airport, is among 10 railway stations in Uttar Pradesh set for redevelopment under the 'Amrit Bharat' scheme this year, according to officials.
Besides Khurja, the railway stations at Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Chunar, Manikpur, Govindpuri, Kanpur's Anwarganj, Mainpuri, Shikohabad and Firozabad -- all under the Prayagraj Division of the North Central Railway -- will be redeveloped, they said.
These stations will be equipped with airport-like facilities such as lounges, space for small business meetings and free WiFi for passengers among others, the officials added.
Known for its pottery and ceramic works, Khurja, in Bulandshahr district of western Uttar Pradesh, is less than an hour's drive from Gautam Buddh Nagar's Jewar area where the Noida International Airport is being developed. The airport is expected to see commercial operations by the end of this year.
Separately, work is underway to link the Noida airport with another railway station in Bulandshahr -- Chola -- to provide improved transport connectivity in the region, while plans for RRTS and metro rail connectivity are also in the offing.

The Banas Kashi Sankul is a milk processing unit of Banaskantha District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd built at the UPSIDA Agro Park, Karkhiyaon in Varanasi. The prime minister had laid the foundation stone of this project in December 2021.
Ahead of the inauguration, PM Modi was seen interacting with the officials at the plant. The officials briefed the Prime Minister about the plant's various equipment. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present on the occasion. The Prime Minister spent a few hours at the plant inspecting the unit's work accompanied by the officials there.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday laid the foundation stone for a green mobility-focussed commercial vehicles plant of Ashok Leyland in Lucknow.
The company said it plans to invest Rs 200-500 crore in the first phase while the overall investment in the plant is pegged at Rs 1,000 crore.
The 70-acre facility will manufacture electric buses while also having capability to produce other vehicles powered by existing and other emerging alternate fuels, the company said in a statement.
The facility will be the company's seventh plant in the country.
Once operational, the plant will initially have a capacity of producing 2,500 vehicles per year.
"Once operational, the facility will have a positive impact on our common goals of generating employment opportunities and advancing sustainable mobility in India. We remain committed to driving innovation and setting new benchmarks in the field of green mobility," said Dheeraj Hinduja, Executive Chairman, Ashok Leyland.
With this new plant, the company is preparing itself for the future and take one step further to achieve its net-zero emissions goals, he added.
"This facility will not only address the rising demand for electric vehicles but also play a vital role in the holistic development of the region," said Shenu Agarwal, MD and CEO at Ashok Leyland.

According to a press statement, speaking at the Janata Darshan, held at Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan on Gorakhnath temple premises and attended by around 500 people, the Chief Minister stated that the government would ensure the safeguarding of the land belonging to the impoverished and the provision of concrete housing facilities under either the PM Awas Yojana, or the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana for those yet to secure a permanent residence.
CM Yogi heard the problems and grievances of the people attentively and directed the concerned officials present at the Janata Darshan to address the issues raised, promptly and satisfactorily, the statement read.
