As Uttar Pradesh, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, sets its sights on creating 33.50 lakh employment opportunities through the ambitious launch of projects worth Rs 10 lakh crore during the upcoming Ground Breaking Ceremony 4.0 (GBC), the support and commitment from industry stalwarts like JK Cement Limited herald a promising era of economic growth and prosperity.
Scheduled to unfold at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow, from February 19 to 21, the GBC 4.0 marks a pivotal milestone in the state's journey towards realising its developmental aspirations.

It's noteworthy that the central government has set a targeted deadline of 2027 for the complete elimination of filariasis from the country.

The Uttar Pradesh Government headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, as part of its mission to eradicate filariasis from the state, is all set to launch the Annual Mass Drug Administration (MDA) Campaign from February 5 to 15. The campaign will be conducted in 17 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
"During this campaign, proficient health workers will conduct door-to-door visits, administering filariasis prevention medication to the entire population, with the exclusion of children under two years of age, pregnant women, and those facing serious illnesses," as per a press release from the Chief Minister's Office.
It's noteworthy that the central government has set a targeted deadline of 2027 for the complete elimination of filariasis from the country.
"The Chief Minister has appealed to all residents to actively partake in the consumption of filariasis prevention medicine during the MDA rounds. Symptoms of this grave disease, caused by Culex mosquito bites, typically manifest 5 to 15 years after infection, leading to conditions like hydrocele and swelling in the extremities and breasts," the release stated.

The UP Board exams are scheduled to commence on February 22 and will extend untilMarch 9.

The Yogi government is once again demonstrating its robust commitment to the integrity of the UP Board exams by implementing stringent measures to prevent cheating.
In tandem with upholding existing protocols, innovative measures are being introduced to further fortify the examination process.
To ensure the seamless execution of these measures, central administrators are undergoing comprehensive training facilitated by master trainers. This training encompasses every facet related to the exams, aiming to eliminate any potential errors during the examination process," as per a press release from the Chief Minister's office.
The UP Board exams are scheduled to commence on February 22 and will extend until March 9.

While directing the Uttar Pradesh govt to file an affidavit about the steps taken to protect the witnesses in the case and also inform if the victim&rsquo;s family chosen a lawyer, the Supreme Court termed the&nbsp;Hathras&nbsp;gangrape &lsquo;horrible&rsquo; and &lsquo;shocking&rsquo;.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Senior Advocate Indira Jaising who appeared on behalf of some intervenors told the Supreme Court that fair investigation warrants protection of the victim&rsquo;s family and witnesses in the case. The UP govt however argued that the family was already under protection. The SC&nbsp;asked&nbsp;UP govt to submit a report by October 8.&nbsp;&nbsp;
While saying it will&nbsp;it will ensure that the&nbsp;probe&nbsp;is smooth in the case, the&nbsp;SC&nbsp;bench&nbsp;of&nbsp;Chief Justice S A Bobde and Justices A&nbsp;S Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian&nbsp;also asked to know if the victim&rsquo;s family had chosen a lawyer. &nbsp;
&nbsp;The apex court&nbsp;heard&nbsp;a PIL seeking a CBI or a SIT probe monitored by a sitting or retired Supreme Court or High Court judge. &nbsp;&nbsp;
