The Yogi government has unveiled ambitious plans under the Ground Breaking Ceremony (GBC 4.0), aiming to provide a massive employment boost across Uttar Pradesh, in a push towards economic revitalization and job creation.
With an investment corpus exceeding Rs 10 lakh crore, the initiative is poised to generate an estimated 34 lakh jobs statewide, with a particular focus on tier 2/3 cities such as Kanpur and Bulandshahr.
The groundbreaking ceremony marks the initiation of several high-impact projects aimed at fostering industrial growth and employment opportunities.
Among the notable initiatives, Kanpur Nagar is slated to witness the establishment of a private industrial park, poised to create employment for a staggering 2.5 lakh individuals.
Additionally, the digital doctor clinic project by the Obdu Group in Bulandshahr is expected to generate jobs for approximately 70,000 people, offering a significant boost to the local economy.
The unveiling of over 14,000 projects, cumulatively valued at over Rs 10 lakh crores, took place on February 19 at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow.

Dubbing their remarks as &lsquo;political puffery&rsquo; with no substance or basis to support their criticism,&nbsp;Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Saturday hit out at BJP leaders Nirmala Sitharaman and Prakash Javadekar for their comments over the Hoshiarpur rape-murder case. Defending Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, Captain said&nbsp;pointed out that in the&nbsp;Hathras&nbsp;case, the Uttar Pradesh government and police &ldquo;did not only fail&rdquo; to initiate stern action but in fact was seemingly &ldquo;trying to cover up&rdquo; the matter to benefit the upper-caste accused.&nbsp;This, he said, was in sharp contrast to the prompt action taken by the Punjab Police, who immediately arrested the accused and is now preparing to file the challan within a week.&nbsp;The BJP attacked the Congress on Saturday over alleged rape and killing of a six-year-old girl in Hoshiarpur, as it asked&nbsp;Gandhi duo&nbsp;why had they not paid a visit to the family of the victim yet.&nbsp;The CM, in a statement, said he himself had directed the director general of police to ensure that the case is fast-tracked by the courts to ensure strict and exemplary action for the accused.&nbsp; &nbsp;

The Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday requested the Supreme Court to monitor the CBI probe into the alleged gang rape and torture of the Hathras Dalit woman who died last month in the capital. The state government also requested the top court to direct the investigating agency to submit fortnightly status reports.
It stressed on its &lsquo;commitment to provide complete security to victims' family and witnesses&rsquo; and in its affidavit submitted a list of police personnel posted for security. The apex court was informed that eight CCTV cameras have been installed outside the victim&rsquo;s home to keep a watch.

The govt has said that in the first phase classes 9 to 12 will start and schools will be run in two shifts to ensure student safety. Social distancing and proper sanitisation of premises will have to be followed by schools, the state has said. It further stated that a maximum of 50 per cent students should be called in a day and remaining 50 per cent the following day. Students will only be allowed to attend classes after furnishing written permission from their parents or guardians, the government said.

The Allahabad High Court has ordered the immediate release of Khan, who has been in jail since January after a speech he delivered at the Aligarh Muslim University during the anti-Citizenship (Amendment) Act protests in December.

PTI,&nbsp;New Delhi: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday hailed the Allahabad High Court directive quashing the detention of Dr Kafeel Khan under the National Security Act and hoped the Uttar Pradesh government will immediately release him "without any malice".
The Allahabad High Court has ordered the immediate release of Khan, who has been in jail since January after a speech he delivered at the Aligarh Muslim University during the anti-Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) protests in December.
"The Allahabad High Court today ordered the removal of NSA and immediate release of Dr Kafeel Khan," Priyanka Gandhi said in a tweet.
"It is expected that the UP government will release Dr. Kafeel Khan without any malice," she said.
The Congress leader added that she also congratulated all the &ldquo;justice loving people&rdquo; and party workers in the state who had been making efforts for Khan's release.
The Allahabad High Court bench, comprising Chief Justice Govind Mathur and Justice Saumitra Dayal Singh, passed the order on a petition filed by Khan's mother Nuzhat Parveen.
The petition alleged that Khan was granted bail in February by a competent court and he was supposed to be released on bail. However, he was not released for four days and the NSA was subsequently invoked against him. Hence, his detention was illegal, the petition argued.&nbsp;
