The West Bengal government on Wednesday extended Covid-related restrictions in the state, till September 30, as per an official notification.&nbsp;The restrictions, which were first imposed on May 16 and extended at regular intervals, were set to expire on Wednesday.
The notification mandates &lsquo;wearing of masks, maintaining physical distancing, along with health and hygiene protocols at all times&rsquo;.&nbsp;The West Bengal government has allowed offices, both government and private, to function with half the manpower, as per the order.

The notification further added that &lsquo;all outdoor activities including movement of people and vehicles shall be strictly prohibited between 11 pm to 5 am except for health services, law and order, essential commodities and other emergency services.
Meanwhile, the Delhi government has allowed further unlocking as Covid situation improves. Public fairs and exhibitions will be permitted from September 16, under a phased reopening of economic activities, which interrupted by the lockdown during the second wave of Covid-19.
Banquet halls will be allowed to hold such exhibitions and fairs. Schools, however, will be closed for students up to Class 8, according to the govt order.

Stadiums and sports complexes will reopen, although they won't allow spectators. &nbsp;Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's government issued orders allowing the sports facilities to function normally.
Cinema halls, multiplexes, and swimming pools, however, will remain shut.
Earlier, stadiums and sports complexes were opened up for those training for national and international competitions or to hold such sports events.

Arthur Bregman, a psychiatrist in Coral Gables, Florida calls it the &ldquo;Cave Syndrome.&rdquo; According to him, cave syndrome &ldquo;occurs when people become attached to the Covid-19 situation.&rdquo; This doesn&rsquo;t mean they get attached to the virus but &ldquo;attached to the home, the anxiety of uncertainty and its effects on our daily lives.&rdquo; &nbsp;
This syndrome might seem common amongst people who are introverted and like to turn inwards when faced with a threat or fear. But it is interesting to note that this syndrome is not something that will only affect the introvert. In his article &ldquo;Cave Syndrome: A Condition of Our Times&rdquo;, Bregman expressed that, extroverts can also begin to live with the fear of uncertainty where the home becomes a safe space. He finds this occurrence similar to Stockholm syndrome wherein people rely on the captor for comfort.

New Delhi, PTI: Amid record spike in coronavirus cases in the Capital, gyms and yoga centres are set to open today. The Delhi government on Sunday allowed gyms and yoga centres capital to reopen after being closed for over five months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In an order issued late on the Sunday night, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) said that gymnasiums and yoga institutes will be permitted to reopen in the city, except in the containment zones, with immediate effect.
According to the order, weekly markets have also been allowed on a trial basis till September 30 under 'Unlock-4'.
The AAP dispensation and the Lieutenant Government office have recently been at loggerheads over the reopening of gyms in the national capital. Last month, the Delhi government had sent a proposal to Lt Governor Anil Baijal in this regard, but it was turned down.
The decision about reopening gyms and yoga centres comes at a time the city has been witnessing a surge in the number of coronavirus cases.
On Sunday, the tally of coronavirus cases in Delhi rose to 2.18 lakh with 4,235 more people contracting the viral disease, while 29 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours pushed the death toll to 4,744.
This was the fifth day in a trot that the national capital recorded a daily spike of over 4,000 fresh cases. The city recorded its biggest single-day jump of 4,321 fresh Covid-19 cases on Saturday, 4,266 on Friday, 4,308 on Thursday and 4,039 on Wednesday.

College students have come out to be the worst affected mentally by the coronavirus&nbsp;pandemic and related lockdowns, finds a new study conducted by online mental health platform YourDost.&nbsp;
Involving nearly 8,000 individuals, the study compared data collected at the beginning of the lockdown versus data collected at the onset of Unlock 1.0.
'Students registered 41 per cent increase in emotions of anxiety or fear, 54 per cent increase in anger or frustration and 38 per cent increase in the feeling of loneliness/boredom,' the study noted.
At the beginning of Covid-19 restrictions, student respondents registered a one per cent increase in happiness but the feeling of joy went down by 15 per cent as the lockdown progressed.
The study has attributed these dips to difficulties at home, loss of freedom and an uncertain feeling of 'what's next?'&nbsp;
