Mitsubishi has secured a significant 30% stake in TVS Mobility, a prominent player in the country's automotive sector. Under this move, TVS Mobility will carve out its car sales division, with Mitsubishi poised to inject fresh energy into the new entity.
According to a report by Nikkei Asia, Mitsubishi's investment is estimated to range between $33 million to $66 million, pending regulatory green lights. Once finalized, Mitsubishi plans to swiftly deploy its personnel to the dealership forefronts.
What's on Mitsubishi's agenda for India? The company will boast distinct showrooms for various car brands, leveraging TVS Mobility's existing network to kickstart operations. Initial efforts will focus on bolstering the sales of Honda cars, already a fixture in the TVS lineup. Additionally, Mitsubishi aims to engage Japanese automakers in talks to diversify the array of brands and models available to Indian consumers.
In line with global trends, the new venture will prioritize electric vehicles (EVs), aligning with Mitsubishi's vision to champion sustainable mobility in India. Moreover, innovative customer-centric services are on the horizon, including streamlined maintenance scheduling and insurance purchases facilitated through a user-friendly smartphone app.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Super-Moto Variant

TVS Motor Company has launched the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V with Super-Moto ABS, priced at ₹ 1,23,500 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The Super-Moto ABS variant will offer riders to lock the rear wheel under hard braking and slide it around a race track. It's essentially the single-channel ABS variant of the Apache RTR 200 4V and comes at a slightly lower price than the standard variant with dual-channel ABS. The Super Moto ABS variant of the Apache RTR 200 4V will be available in two colours, Pearl White and Gloss Black.
