A woman was arrested for assaulting a toll plaza staffer in Uttar Pradesh after a video of her thrashing the woman staffer went viral, as per Indian Express.
As per the report, the incident which occurred at the Luharli toll plaza on the Gautam Buddha Nagar border was captured on the CCTV installed inside the toll plaza's booth.
As per the report, the accused woman, identified as Chanchal, was asked by a toll plaza employee to make payment for the toll. However, the woman asserted that she belongs to a nearby village and asked their staffer to let their vehicle pass through. The staffer then asked the woman to produce her identity card.
Following this, the woman barged into the booth and thrashed the woman. In the now-viral video, the arrested woman is seen pulling the staffer by the hair as she is sitting on a chair. The woman kept squishing her face until the staffer was pinned to the ground.&nbsp;

The new increased rates of highway &amp; expressway tolls could be implemented from April 1 after the approval of the Ministry of Road and Transport&nbsp;

Planning a roadtrip in April? You might have to pay higher tolls on national highways and expressways. As per reports, National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is preparing to increase the toll tax from April 1.&nbsp;
According to a report by ABP, the toll tax will increase by 5-10%. Cars and light vehicles will be charged an additional 5% per trip and the toll tax for heavy vehicles may increase by 10%.&nbsp;
The proposal for revised toll rates will be sent from NHAI&rsquo;s all Project Implementation Unit (PIU) by March 25.&nbsp;
Currently, the toll tax is being collected on the expressway at Rs 2.19 per kilometre.
The 135 km long, six-lane &lsquo;Eastern Peripheral Expressway&rsquo; and Delhi-Meerut Expressway will also witness a hike in toll rates. According to a report by the Mint, the monthly pass facility, a cheaper provision given to those residing in an area of 20 kilometers of the toll plaza, will also be increased by 10%.&nbsp; Last hike was in 2022, the toll tax range was hiked between 10 and 15%, increasing the tariff prices of all types of vehicles plying on national highways by Rs 10 to Rs 60.&nbsp;

To evade the police, he swapped his traditional religious clothes for a shirt and trousers.&nbsp;

As ousted PM Imran Khan headed to Islamabad to appear before a local court in the Toshakhana case on Saturday, the car he was travelling in was forced to stop at a toll plaza after both sides of the way were blocked by several other cars.&nbsp;
The PTI, shared a video of the spot. The video shows Imran's convoy halted amid heavy police deployment on both sides of the way.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, Islamabad police have issued a traffic advisory, stating that due to tight security measures around the Judicial Complex in G-11, citizens may face difficulty in traffic movement, leading to inconvenience.
The Islamabad administration on Friday night imposed Section 144 in the capital, prohibiting private companies, security guards, or individuals from carrying weapons. It is mandatory for drivers to carry their vehicle registration documents while driving.
The government had on Friday shifted the venue of the additional sessions court to a comparatively safer Judicial Complex for the hearing of the case after the PTI raised security concerns, Dawn reported.&nbsp;

Addressing an event organised by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), Nitin Gadkari reiterated that the government wants to develop India's public transport system on electricity.
The government is strongly encouraging solar and wind energy-based charging mechanisms for electric mobility, Nitin Gadkari said. 
"We are also working on developing electric highways, which will be powered by solar energy and this will facilitate charging of heavy duty trucks and buses while running," he said. 
Gadkari said that the government is also encouraging toll plazas to be powered by solar energy.
The minister said the road ministry has conducted route optimisation exercises across major corridors and has designed newer alignment.
Emphasising that a well-developed infrastructure enhances economic activities, creates new businesses and promotes job creation, Gadkari said, "We are constructing 26 greenfield expressways."
With the launch of PM Gati Shakti Master Plan, he said projects will get faster clearance and it would cut down logistic costs.

As many as 13 sand-laden tractors allegedly belonging to the local sand mafia sped through a toll plaza in Uttar Pradesh's Agra on Sunday night breaking the barricades and sticks used by the staff to stop them.

The incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the Jajau Toll Plaza on the Agra-Gwalior Highway.

As many as 13 sand-laden tractors allegedly belonging to the local sand mafia sped through a toll plaza in Uttar Pradesh's Agra on Sunday night breaking the barricades and sticks used by the staff to stop them.
The incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the Jajau Toll Plaza on the Agra-Gwalior Highway where the episode reportedly took place.
In the video of the incident, which has now gone viral, a tractor is seen speeding through the plaza without stopping to pay toll tax. It is followed by 12 other tractors.
