Threads app has rolled out its first update for the iOS as part of the 292.0 version which has fixed certain bugs and crashes

The Instagram-powered Threads has taken the world by storm since its release adding over 100 million subscribers in just 5 days. Now, the app has launched its first major update for iOS users.&nbsp;
The update comes shortly after Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared his vision for the platform and roadmap for the rest of the year. The updates that are launched are a part of the 292.0 version update which was confirmed by Threads developer Cameron Roth.

Here's the list of updates launched by Threads for iOS users:

<li>A new follow tab on the activity feed is added. This allows users to check their followers and who they are following.</li>
<li>An option to subscribe to unfollowed users is also added.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Translation is introduced which would allow users to translate the posts to any language</li>
<li>Tappable reposters labels that can be accessed to see all those who have reposted a thread.</li>
<li>Separate replies page is created to keep a better track of conversations</li>
<li>Features such as activity feed scrolling, loading new posts, checking the instagram followers list from within Threads are improved</li>
<li>Update has fixed certain bugs and crashes</li>
</ol>
Threads developer Cameron Roth has also said that a user may have to restart the app if the updates are not visible or functioning or to wait until the end of the day.
"You may need to restart your app to see some of these or otherwise wait until the end of the day! We use a system of server-delivered flags which can take a while to fully release", said Roth.
Meta is yet to release an update for Android users.

This is not the first time that Musk has called Threads a &lsquo;copy cat&rsquo; app. Soon after the launch of Meta's latest social media app, Musk's twitter threatened to sue Meta, accused the company of "unlawful misappropriation of Twitter's trade secrets and other intellectual property."

Parineeti expressed her excitement about joining Threads by comparing it to the first day of school.

Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Will Smith, and Jennifer Lopez have all signed up.
Jack Harlow, Zayn Malik, Gordon Ramsay, Karlie Kloss, Liam Payne, Ellie Goulding, and the Dalai Lama have also been seen logging on to the app.
Threads launched in over 100 countries on July 6 and is available for both iOS and Android users.

Making a stellar debut, Meta Threads, has seen over 10 million signups just hours into its launch.&nbsp; Meta's new social media offering, is aimed at challenging Elon Musk's Twitter, attracted a diverse user base, including prominent celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, and Hugh Jackman, as well as media outlets such as The Washington Post and The Economist.
However, despite its soaring popularity, European Union (EU) residents will have to wait a while longer to join Threads&nbsp; due to regulatory uncertainties.
Meta, the parent company of Threads and Instagram, has decided to withhold the app's availability in the EU temporarily.
The decision is driven by the need to navigate the complexities of data sharing between Threads and Instagram while complying with the upcoming Digital Markets Act (DMA).
The DMA is a set of new EU competition rules designed to govern the actions of major online platforms and regulate their use of market power. Meta is actively seeking further guidance on the implementation of these regulations, with the European Commission expected to provide additional clarity in September.
Presently, app stores in EU countries such as Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Ireland, and Belgium do not feature Threads.
Although the service has gone live on Thursday in the US and UK, European users will have to exercise patience until Meta resolves the regulatory concerns.
Despite the setback, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta's parent company, remains optimistic. In a tweet, he expressed his vision for a public conversations app with over one billion users, a feat he believes Twitter has yet to achieve.&nbsp;
