Actor Priyanka Chopra, who attended &lsquo;The Last Film Show&rsquo; screening in Los Angeles recently, has shared pictures with director Pan Nalin and child artiste Bhavin Rabari on Instagram. The film is India&rsquo;s submission to the Oscars in the Best International Feature Film Category.
In her post Priyanka Chopra wrote that she is proud of the amazing movies that come out of Indian cinema and the least she can do is always support the industry that taught her all that she knows about her job. &lsquo;&lsquo;Chhello Show&rsquo; being one of the special ones. Chhello Show (Last Film Show) &ndash; a regional language movie (Gujurati) which has been selected as India&rsquo;s Official Entry to the Best International Feature Film category at the 95th Academy Awards.

Earlier, producer David Dubinsky had posted many photos and a video on his Instagram handle. In the video, Priyanka recalled the memories of single-screen theatres and how her father used to bunk school to watch films.

Pan Nalin&rsquo;s &lsquo;Last Film Show&rsquo; has made it to Oscars 2023 shortlist. Film Federation of India jury member, filmmaker Sangeeth Sivan has reacted to the news, saying that decision to select the Gujarati film as India&rsquo;s official submission for the Oscars has been &lsquo;vindicated&rsquo;.
Taking to Twitter, Sangeeth wrote, 'There was such a huge &amp; cry when #Chelo was selected. All sort of accusations happened. The jury was convinced that it had to be The film 2 represent India. D other films were good but as a film this stood out. The jury &amp; #FFI stand vindicated now that it has been shortlisted #Oscars.'
Film Federation of India had faced massive backlash after they selected &lsquo;Last Film Show&rsquo; as India&rsquo;s official entry for the 95th Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film Category, over the more popular films like &lsquo;RRR&rsquo; and &lsquo;The Kashmir Files&rsquo;.
&lsquo;Last Film Show&rsquo; was also accused of being a ripoff of the Italian film &lsquo;Cinema Paradiso&rsquo;. Director Pan Nalini had clarified and said that he &lsquo;paid homage&rsquo; to that film.
&lsquo;Chhello Show&rsquo; is a semi-autobiographical film that stars Bhavin Rabari, Vikas Bata, and Richa Meena among others.
SS Rajamouli&rsquo;s magnum opus 'RRR' has also advanced in one category, Music (Original Song), for 'Naatu Naatu'.
