TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has moved the Supreme Court challenging the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Sept 23.
The HC had on Sept 22, rejected his petition for quashing the FIR against him in connection with an alleged scam in the Skill Development Corporation.
Following this, a court in Vijayawada granted custody of Naidu to the CID for two days.
The former chief minister was arrested on September 9 for allegedly misappropriating funds from the Skill Development Corporation, leading to an alleged loss of over Rs 300 crore to the state exchequer.

The arrest warrant to Chandrababu Naidu was served in the wee hours of Saturday, as the former chief minister was resting in his vanity van following a public address in Andra Pradesh's Nandyala city.

The arrest warrant to Chandrababu Naidu was served in the wee hours of Saturday, as the former chief minister was resting in his vanity van following a public address in Andra Pradesh's Nandyala city.

Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Telugu Desam Party N Chandrababu Naidu was arrested by the Nandyal District Police in the early hours of Saturday, Hindustan Times reported quoting a TDP spokesperson.
According to reports, Naidu was arrested in the AP Skill Development Corporation scam, in which he is accused No. 1.
A notice to that effect was handed over to him.
Stating that it is a non-bailable offence, the notice said Chandrababu Naidu cannot be released on bail.
A First Information Report in the case was lodged in 2021. He is being shifted to Vijayawada, as per reports.

The incident comes just three days after the death of eight people during a similar event organised by Naidu's party in Nellore.

The gift distribution began after TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu left the venue upon addressing the public meeting at Guntur.
A police official said that as soon as the organisers started distributing gifts, including sarees, the crowd swelled and they pushed the barricades away leading to a stampede. &nbsp;
The incident comes just three days after the death of eight people during a similar event in Nellore in southern Andhra Pradesh.
Expressing shock over the incident, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the government would stand by the families of the victims. In a statement, he ordered swift medical treatment to the injured.
Health Minister V Rajani alleged that the TDP campaigned for the past 10 days to woo people, assuring distribution of gifts.
&ldquo;Three lives have been sacrificed for Naidu&rsquo;s publicity mania,&rdquo; she told reporters at the hospital where the injured are being treated in Guntur.

Though this was a private programme, the state government has provided enough security. &ldquo;Chandrababu Naidu should own up the responsibility for the deaths,&rdquo; Rajani said.
A woman who has been admitted to hospital told reporters that they were given a token-like slip earlier in the day and they went to the venue of TDP's meeting to collect gifts.
Suddenly there was lot of rush and in the melee, people fell on the ground leading to deaths.
Guntur East MLA Mohammad Mustafa squarely blamed Naidu for the incident.
Quoting reports, he said three people died and he had no idea on the number of people who were injured.
&ldquo;I request the state government to stop this kind of activities, because they (TDP) are playing with people&rsquo;s lives. We just saw the incident in Kandukuru,&rdquo; the legislator said.
After the December 28 incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said he was pained by the mishap and announced Rs 2 lakh ex-gratia to the kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to those injured.
The state government also announced a similar package to the victims.
YSR Congress Party general secretary and advisor to government (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, in a statement, had blamed TDP and its chief Naidu for the tragic incident.
Addressing the media on December 29, he said Naidu "deliberately" held the rally in a narrow lane in order to capture the visuals through drone shots to show a huge crowd for his meeting, the ruling party said. However, Naidu&rsquo;s &ldquo;self-promotion mission&rdquo; failed miserably and led to the &ldquo;murder&rdquo; of eight innocent people while injuring several others, he had said.&nbsp;

We don't understand whether we are living in a democratic country or a fascist country. Chief Minister and DGP should take the responsibility (for these attacks)," AP TDP president Atchannaidu said.
He demanded that the Chief Minister should resign for failing to keep law and order under control.
Unidentified persons attacked Pattabhi's residence in Vijayawada, family members said.
Director General of Police Gautam Sawang said there were "sporadic reactions" across the state objecting to Pattabhi's comments.
Appealing to people not to create law and order problems, he said leaders should refrain themselves from making derogatory remarks.
"Some of the rank and file of YSRCP are objecting to the comments made by some leaders. There were some sporadic reactions. Everything is now under control. Some people must have been taken into custody," the DGP told PTI.
A press release from the DGP's office said additional forces have been deployed across the state and also requested the people not to get provocative. Stern action will be taken against people who make provocative remarks, he added.
Pattabhi said TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu has taken the issue to the notice of the centre and also spoke to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to take note of the conditions prevailing in the state.
"The Centre should imitate steps to save democracy and takes stern action against Ganja mafia (in the state)," the TDP leader said.
Refuting the YSRCP cadres' involvement in the attacks, party's senior legislator Malladi Vishnu said Pattabhi should not have used objectionable words on the CM.
Vishnu alleged that Pattabhi was always making provocative comments and used abusive words against the YSRCP government.
"What relation the YSR Congress will have with these attacks? They are trying to drag our party to malign our image in the public. Everybody knows about Chandrababu Naidu's wicked plans," Vishnu told a TV channel.
After hearing the news of attacks, Naidu reached the party office at Mangalagiri and enquired about the incident.
The functionaries in the TDP office informed Nadu that some people attacked with beer bottles.
In a series of tweets, Nara Lokesh, TDP's General Secretary and son of Naidu, condemned the attacks on the party's offices.
TV reports indicate that mild tension prevailed at TDP offices at many of the cities with police dispersing gatherings.&nbsp;
