Exiled Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen has accused Delhi's Apollo Hospital of forcing her to get a hip replacement surgery when she did not need it.
In a series of tweets on January 31, Taslima claimed that the doctors lied to her about X-ray and CT findings when she visited the hospital with knee pain and instead coerced her for a Total Hip Replacement surgery.
The hospital however has issued a statement denying Taslima's claim, The Indian Express reported.

Actor Abhishek Bachchan recently won the Best Actor trophy for his performance &lsquo;Dasvi&rsquo; and his proud father, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan penned a heartfelt note for him on social media. Following this, author Taslima Nasreen tweeted that Abhishek is not 'as talented as' Amitabh.

Actor Suniel Shetty reacted to Abhishek's tweet and posted a red heart emoji.
Twitter users also responded to the post. A person said, &lsquo;That is probably why he isn't rated that much and that's sad. He is better than most of them but just always gets compared to his father.&rsquo;
&lsquo;Dasvi&rsquo;, directed by Tushar Jalota, also starred Nimrit Kaur and Yami Gautam. Abhishek portrayed the role of Ganga Ram Chaudhary, a chief minister who is put behind bars for his involvement in a scam. The social comedy film released on OTT platforms Netflix and Jio Cinema on April 7.

Nasreen on Twitter said that even if The Prophet were alive today 'he would have been shocked to see the madness of the Muslim fanatics around the world.'
Her remark came after protests erupted in several states across the country and also spread to neighbouring Bangladesh. On Friday, thousands marched on the streets of Bangladesh's capital Dhaka in protesting Nupur Sharma's comments.
The protestors raised slogans against the Indian government and gave a call for the gherao of the Indian embassy on June 16. The demonstrators also demanded the boycott of Indian products.
