Madras High Court has put a stay on single bench judgment which had imposed ₹1 lakh fine on Tamil actor Vijay&nbsp;and&nbsp;passed adverse observations against him for filing a petition challenging the levy of entry tax on his Rolls Royce.&nbsp;
HC issued a stay after the actor told the court that&nbsp;he was not challenging the entry tax demand, and was only challenging the scathing observations in the judgment.&nbsp;
While staying the single bench order, HC&nbsp;directed Vijay to pay the balance 80% entry tax within a week of demand challan issued by the tax department.

Madras High Court has stayed a payment of ₹1 lakh fine on Tamil actor Vijay&nbsp;for filing a petition challenging the levy of entry tax on his Rolls Royce.&nbsp;
HC issued a stay after the counsel representing the actor said he was ready to pay the entire tax amount, but wanted the &ldquo;uncharitable&rdquo; remarks made by the single judge against the &ldquo;actors community at large&rdquo; to be expunged.&nbsp;
Earlier a judge had said 'these actors portray themselves as champions of social justice, but evade tax and act in a manner that is not in consonance with provisions of the statutes'
While staying the single bench order, HC&nbsp;directed Vijay to pay the balance entry tax within a week of receiving demand challan issued by the tax department.

The 59-year-old actor&nbsp;was admitted to the intensive care unit&nbsp;of a hospital after he suffered a heart attack due to 100% blockage in the left anterior descending artery vessel. Tamil Nadu Health Department also called a press meet on Friday to dispel the rumors that Vivek's&nbsp;illness was linked to him receiving the&nbsp;Covid-19&nbsp;vaccine on Thursday.&nbsp;
