Four players from Champions Australia made it to the list while runners-up South Africa have a trio of their own in the Team of the Tournament

Wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh was the only Indian to make the cut for the Team of the Tournament for the recently concluded Women's T20 World Cup.
Ghosh emerged as one of India's best batters lower down the order. 19-year-old Ghosh slammed 136 runs at an average of 68 and also had seven dismissals to her name during the competition.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, four players from Champions Australia made it to the list while runners-up South Africa have a trio of their own in the team.
Two English players and one from the West Indies were also included, with a future Ireland star named as the 12th player.

The dream is over! India crashed out of the Women's T20 World Cup with a 5-run defeat against the reigning Champions, Australia. Heartbreaks at ICC events have become commonplace for the Women in Blue, who continue to chase the elusive dream of an ICC trophy. In 2017, they failed right at the final hurdle against hosts England in the ODI World Cup. In fact, they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, losing their last 7 wickets for just 28 to fall short by 9 runs. At the 2020 T20 World Cup, they surrendered to the Aussie onslaught. Chasing a massive 185-run target, the team was shot out for 99. Cut to 2022, Mithali Raj's team failed to even qualify for the knockouts at the ODI World Cup in New Zealand. While they did manage to reach the final of the Commonwealth Games months later, they succumbed to pressure yet again. Chasing 162 for victory, India were cruising at 118/2, only to lose their final 8 wickets for just 34 runs, with Australia taking the Gold.
And in Cape Town on Thursday, when Indian fans were hoping &amp; praying for a different outcome this time around, the Women in Blue faltered. However, the Indian captain's freak dismissal where she was caught short of the crease after her bat got stuck in the turf, turned the tide in Australia's favour.

Laura Wolvaardt of South Africa had just walked into a post-match press conference room after being chosen as the Player of the Match in <a href="https://www.editorji.com/sports-news/cricket/watch-highlights-south-africa-storm-into-t20-world-cup-semis-with-10-wicket-win-against-bangladesh-1677043058078">South Africa's final group game against Bangladesh in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup</a> in Cape Town on Tuesday.
After answering a string of questions from the floor, the media conference switched to being a virtual conference - catching Wolvaardt off guard.
Wolvaardt soon realised the folly and shared a good laugh with everyone around and in the virtual conference.

South Africa will face England in the second semi-final on Friday.

Hosts South Africa stormed into the semi-finals of the Women's T20 World Cup with a 10-wicket victory against Bangladesh in Cape Town.
Bangladesh, having opted to bat, lost both their openers inside the powerplay. While Sobhana Mostary &amp; captain Nigar Sultana both got starts, their low strike rates meant Bangladesh could only finish with 113.
In reply, South Africa hardly broke a sweat. Needing a victory to enter the last four, both Laura Wolvaardt &amp; Tazmin Brits found the perfect mix of caution &amp; aggression.
The opening duo scored unbeaten fifties to send South Africa through to the semis, where they'll face England on Friday.
