Actor Swara Bhaskar, who married politician Fahad Ahmed in January last year and welcomed their baby girl, Raabiyaa, on September 23, 2023, recently called out a 'leading' newspaper for body shaming her. She criticised a newspaper article on her Instagram stories. The article had stated that her weight is affecting her film career.&nbsp;
Sharing a screenshot of the article, Swara wrote, 'For those who cannot read the Devanagari script, this is a leading Hindi newspaper handle that thinks it is newsworthy that a recent mom, who gave birth to a child a few months back, put on weight! Can someone please explain the physiology of childbirth to the geniuses..."
The article reportedly was shared on the social media platform, X. It said, 'Badhte wajan ke karan Swara ko nahi mil raha kaam (Due to her weight gain, Swara is not getting work)!&rdquo;&nbsp;
<h3>Swara Bhaskar on being a Mother&nbsp;</h3>
In October 2023, Swara spoke to HT City about becoming a mother to her first child, Raabiyaa, soon after her marriage. She described 2023 as an 'absolute whirlwind, in the happiest way possible,' summarizing the year as very hectic with both marriage and childbirth occurring within 10 months. Reflecting on her rapid life changes, she remarked, 'Bhagwaan deta hai toh chhappad faad ke deta hai (When God blesses you, he blesses you abundantly).'
Discussing her daughter's upbringing, Swara emphasised that children reflect their parents' values. 'Raabiyaa' will have the best of both worlds. She will have access to two kinds of faith. It is like how India is a mish mash of caste and religion. In fact, the two families were chatting post her birth and discovered that the chhathhi (sixth day after the baby's birth) is common to both Hindus and Muslims. I think that is beautiful. We focus on the differences, but there is so much similarity. When you look for differences with an agenda, then you will find that rubbish," she said.&nbsp;

Actor Swara Bhaskar and her husband Fahad Ahmad welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on September 23. They have named her Raabiya. The actor shared the news on social media along with a series of photos. Swara wrote, 'A prayer heard, a blessing granted, a song whispered, a mystic truth.' 'With grateful and happy hearts, thank you for your love, she concluded the post. The first photo showed the new parents with baby Raabiyaa at the hospital, most likely during Swara's discharge from the hospital. This was followed by a photo of Swara and Fahad beside their baby in a cradle of the hospital. Another photo featured a sweet moment of the new mom after she had fallen asleep with her newborn daughter on the hospital bed. One more showed Fahad cradling the baby in his arms. The last one is yet another photo of the family of three. Swara and Fahad got married in a court marriage in February this year. Several wedding functions were held in March. Swara and Fahad announced their pregnancy in June and shared mushy pictures from maternity photo shoot.

'Bheed', starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, released in theatres on March 24. The long list of edits suggested by the Central Board of Film Certification for the film is being widely shared on the internet.
Now, actor Swara Bhasker has reacted to these edits. She tweeted, 'Nothing stings like facts. In India, we have a new affliction: Allergy to facts. #bheed #censorship.'
As per the list, a bunch of swear words and some nudity was removed from the film. One of the edits includes removal of 'all the (direct and indirect) speeches and references of the Hon'ble PM (voice-over).' In addittion, &lsquo;Pradhanmantri was replaced with Mantri and voice-over of the Delhi CM replaced, wherever they occurred/appeared (also removed from sub-titles).&rsquo; There are several more edits that were made.
Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the film shows how migrant workers were stuck without basic needs after Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for a nationwide lockdown in an effort to contain the COVID-19 pandemic and their struggles as they attempted to find their way home.

However, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee gave the event a miss. She later penned a heartfelt note to Swara on her marriage, a glimpse of which the actor shared on Twitter. Sawara captioned her post, 'Thank you @MamataOfficial ma&rsquo;am for your kind wishes, and gracious response to our invitation. We missed your presence at our reception but deeply appreciate this gracious gesture.'
In the letter, Mamata thanked Swara Bhasker's parents for the invitation and sent her heartiest greetings and best wishes to Swara and Fahad on the momentous occasion.

A police complaint has been lodged against actor Swara Bhaskar, Arfa Khanum Sherwani, Asif Khan of Twitter India and Manish Maheshwari, who is the Twitter India head over the Ghaziabad assault video.
The complaint was lodged at Delhi's Tilak Marg police station by advocate Amit Acharya. An FIR is yet to be lodged over the fresh complaint. Delhi Police has meanwhile launched a probe.
Earlier, an FIR had named Twitter Inc, Twitter Communications India and news website The Wire, journalists Mohammed Zubair and Rana Ayyub, Congress leaders Shama Mohamed, Salman Nizami, Maskoor Usmani and writer Saba Naqvi in the same case.
Twitter and these prominent users have been booked for circulating a video in which an elderly Muslim man says he was thrashed and asked to chant "Jai Shri Ram".
The FIR said that these people did not verify the truth of the matter and shared it online with a communal angle with an intention to disrupt public peace and create a divide between religious groups.
The Press Club of India (PCI) has demanded that the FIR naming the journalists should be quashed because it shows "vendetta" by the Ghaziabad police to create a "sense of terror" in the media and society at large.

A police complaint has been lodged against actor Swara Bhaskar, Arfa Khanum Sherwani, Asif Khan of Twitter India and Manish Maheshwari, who is the Twitter India head over the Ghaziabad assault video.
The complaint was lodged at Delhi's Tilak Marg police station by advocate Amit Acharya. An FIR is yet to be lodged over the fresh complaint. Delhi Police has meanwhile launched a probe.
Earlier, an FIR had named Twitter Inc, Twitter Communications India and news website The Wire, journalists Mohammed Zubair and Rana Ayyub, Congress leaders Shama Mohamed, Salman Nizami, Maskoor Usmani and writer Saba Naqvi in the same case.
Twitter and these prominent users have been booked for circulating a video in which an elderly Muslim man says he was thrashed and asked to chant "Jai Shri Ram".
The FIR said that these people did not verify the truth of the matter and shared it online with a communal angle with an intention to disrupt public peace and create a divide between religious groups.
The Press Club of India (PCI) has demanded that the FIR naming the journalists should be quashed because it shows "vendetta" by the Ghaziabad police to create a "sense of terror" in the media and society at large.
