Vinay Gupta: things are getting better, improvement is happening but it wont feel like improvement (join from ans) Dr Kavita: sutra model heavily reliant on over fitting the model....it does have a sound basis mathematically...but fitting data that to a computation model cant predict future behaviour for freaky reasons...there is also psycology of people, there is so much you can do.....biggest factor is the variance of virus, can't understand possibly predict or anticipate how the virus can mutate.

Speaking to Vikram Chandra on editorji, Dr M Vidyasagar, Professor, IIT Hyderabad who worked on this model, explains how data-centric modelling such as SUTRA work to predict the trajectory of a pandemic. He says, the changing behaviour of the virus, fact that some people were bigger transmitters of the virus than others were important parameters that showed there was lack of social or geographic heterogeneity as the disease spiralled.
