A study called &lsquo;Switch Off&rsquo; conducted with Cybermedia Research on &lsquo;Smartphones and their impact on human relationships 2022' found that 67 per cent of people confessed using their smart phones while being with their partners, 89 per cent said they spend much less time conversing with their spouses and 88 per cent agreed that increased usage of smartphones is affecting their marriage.&nbsp;

The study has been conducted based on a survey done on 1,000 smartphone users across Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Pune, which concluded that on an average, each smartphone user has 1.5 hours of free time every day that they mostly spend on their phones instead of spending time with family.&nbsp; &nbsp; 88 per cent users spend their leisure time on their smartphones and 89 per cent feel the urge to use them as soon as they get some free time.&nbsp;

The app ran a study among ten thousand survey participants from tier 1 and 2 cities and it was found that there was a surge in user log-ins during this time of the year and the singles explicitly start looking for a date to spend their day with a prospect on Christmas and New Year.&nbsp;
In the survey, it was found that 25% of men who have new matches were seen planning to meet up IRL on Christmas or New Year's eve and 36% of single women between 26-30 said that cold weather and end-of-the-year play a crucial role in dating. Other than this, 30% believe that the new year might improve their love life quality.&nbsp;

 I-T survey on BBC: CBDT says, income, profits not commensurate with operations in India

According to the statement, several discrepancies and inconsistencies with regard to transfer pricing documentation were found during the survey.

The income and profits shown by various BBC group entities are not commensurate with the scale of their operations in India, according to an official statement on Friday, a day after the Income Tax authorities ended a three-day-long survey against the British media organisation.
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) issued a statement without naming the media organisation and said that I-T teams unearthed crucial evidences by way of statement of employees, digital proof and documents.
Officials said the statement pertains to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
According to the statement, several discrepancies and inconsistencies with regard to transfer pricing documentation were found during the survey.
The survey was launched on February 14 at BBC offices in Delhi and Mumbai and it ended after about 60 hours on Thursday night.&nbsp;

A nationwide survey by India's National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) recently found that about 150 million Indians suffer from some kind of mental health disorder but only 30 million or lesser address it and seek help.
As reported by HT, according to NIMHANS Director, Pratima Murthy, over 10% of the population has diagnosable mental health disorder. &nbsp;
This survey focused on issues like mental morbidity, a condition that affects both physical and mental health due to a particular mental disorder. It is a huge matter of concern as the study also concluded that 1% of the sample size is at high risk of suicide.&nbsp;
Murthy also said, as quoted by HT, that mental health is paramount, and getting treatment for mental disorders is not a luxury but a necessity.&nbsp;

As the Gyanvapi Mosque-Shringar Gauri temple issue gathers steam, Asaduddin Owaisi commented on the case. The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief also said that the Muslim community in India was never a vote bank, and will never be.
The Hyderabad MP said, "In our dear country, Muslims cannot change the government. You are being misled. Muslims used to think that they are a vote bank. Muslims were never a vote bank. It never was, and never will be so. In this country, there was and will always be a vote bank of the majority community. You have been cheated with this attractive and alluring idea that Muslims are a vote bank."
He cited the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi dispute, and invoked the ongoing Gyanvapi-Shringar Gauri case. "We cannot change the government. If we could, then why would the Indian Parliament have so few Muslim members? When was the last time that a Muslim MP was elected from Gujarat? If we could change government... the Babri Masjid issue has been adjudicated by the courts, and now Gyanvapi Mosque issue has erupted. You are free to disagree with me," he added.
His comments came in the wake of a local Varanasi court allowing videographic survey of the mosque. The court is hearing petitions by some Delhi-based women for permission to perform daily worship of Hindu deities located on the outer wall of the Gyanvapi Masjid.
The mosque is located next to Varanasi's Kashi Vishwanath temple. Owaisi earlier said that the Gyanvapi mosque's status is protected by Places of Worship Act, 1991.
