The incident took place a week back, but the police were informed about the alleged gang rape on Sunday," Superintendent of Police said. According to a complaint filed by the victim's parents, the accused duo barged into their house when the 22-year-old woman was alone and raped her one by one at gunpoint. They then left after threatening her of dire consequences if she dared to speak about the incident to anyone.

A UP MLA, his son and one other person have been booked for allegedly raping a 25-year-old singer, police said. NISHAD party MLA Vijay Mishra, who is an ally of the ruling BJP, has been accused of allegedly raping the singer in 2014 and 2015. The victim had in 2015 alleged that Mishra had called her to his house for a programme, when he raped her and threatened to kill her if she ever spoke about it. She alleged that in 2015, she was raped at a hotel in Varanasi. The victim also claimed that once after raping her, Mishra told his son and nephew to drop her home but, both of them allegedly raped her before taking her back.

Bhadohi, PTI: Three men, including NISHAD party MLA Vijay Mishra and his son, were booked on Sunday for allegedly raping a 25-year-old singer, police said.
NISHAD party is an ally of the ruling BJP.
Bhadohi Superintendent of Police Ram Badan Singh said the singer alleged that in 2014 Mishra had called her to his house for a programme, when he raped her and threatened to kill her if she ever spoke up about the incident.
She alleged that in 2015, she was raped at a hotel in Varanasi. She also claimed that once after raping her, Mishra told his son and nephew to drop her home but, both of them allegedly raped her before taking her back.
The singer lodged a complaint at Gopiganj police station on Sunday after she came to know that Mishra was lodged in Agra jail in connection with a case involving land grabbing. His wife and his son are co-accused in the case.
Mishra was shifted to Agra central jail from Chitrakoot jail around three weeks back.
In August, Vijay Mishra, his wife and son were booked on several serious charges including property grabbing on a complaint by their relative Krishna Mohan Mishra. Ramlali Mishra (wife of the MLA) is out after getting anticipatory bail from high court, while his son is absconding after his bail plea was rejected.
Mishra was arrested by the police from Madhya Pradesh and subsequently jailed.

MP man booked under NSA for allegedly selling beef

A 39-year-old man has been arrested under the stringent National Security Act for allegedly selling beef in Madhya Pradesh's Indore city, police said on Monday.

A 39-year old man was arrested by the Indore Police under the National Security Act for allegedly selling beef. A PTI&nbsp;report said that acting on a tip-off, the police raided a shop and arrested the man for selling beef at the shop which is meant for selling goat meat.
 Under the NSA, a person can be detained without a charge for up to 12 months if he or she is threat to national security ot law and order.
Police of different states have been seen booking people under the NSA for selling or transporting cows.

PTI:&nbsp;A 39-year-old man has been arrested under the stringent National Security Act for allegedly selling beef in Madhya Pradesh's Indore city, police said on Monday.
On the basis of a police report issued on Sunday, the district administration sent the accused to jail under the National Security Act (NSA), Superintendent of Police (West Zone) Mahesh Chandra Jain said.
Under the NSA, a person can be detained without a charge for up to 12 months if authorities are satisfied that he or she is a threat to national security or law and order.
According to police, the man was arrested on charges of selling beef in South Toda area under Raoji Bazar police station limits here.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a shop in the area on Saturday and allegedly seized a large quantity of beef from there, Raoji Bazar police station's sub-inspector Seema Dhakad said.
The accused was allegedly selling beef at the shop meant for selling goat meat, the official said.
A probe is underway to find out from where he got beef and to whom he was selling it, Dhakad said.
Earlier also, cases were registered against the accused in Indore and Ujjain under the MP Cow Progeny Slaughter Prevention Act-2004, the official said, adding that these cases are pending in court.
