Satish Kaushik was not just an actor and director, he was also a producer, comedian, and screenwriter. He is best known for his roles as Calendar in ‘Mr. India’, Pappu Pager in ‘Deewana Mastana’, and Chanu Ahmed in Sarah Gavron's British film ‘Brick Lane’.

Acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Patnaik paid tribute to late actor-director Satish Kaushik with a massive sand sculpture at Puri beach in Odisha. He shared pictures of the sand art on Twitter and wrote, &lsquo;Deeply saddened by the sudden demise of actor, director and writer #SatishKaushik Ji. My deepest condolences to his bereaved family and followers. Om Shanti. My SandArt at Puri beach.&rsquo;

He attempted to create a world record with the sculpture, which is 30 feet high. It was made using 800 tonnes of sand and 10,000 plastic bottles. It has the message 'Ready to Change, Beat Plastic Pollution' inscribed on it. The plastic bottles will be recycled after the event.
