Days after outrage over questioning of Youth Congress president Srinivas BV and others who have been helping people in the times of Covid crisis, Delhi Police has said that the concerned persons were just helping people and there is no proof of any fraud.
The Indian Express has reported that in a preliminary report on allegations of blackmarketing and illegal distribution of Covid-19 medicines against various people, it has found that they helped people voluntarily and without discrimination.
Besides Srinivas, police had questioned AAP MLA Dilip Pandey, BJP MP Gautam Gambhir and others. The Crime Branch status report says that the person enquired into have not charged any money for the help provided and thus no one has been defrauded, The Indian Express report stated.
Srinivas and the others were questioned by the Crime Branch after a petition before the court alleged that a &ldquo;medical mafia-politician nexus&rdquo; was indulging in illegal distribution of medicines.
The police have, however, sought more time to fully examine the issue and conclude the probe.

A team of Crime Branch officials raided the headquarters of the Indian Youth Congress and questioned Srinivas&nbsp;for 20 minutes, on&nbsp;the source of oxygen cylinders and other life-saving drugs being distributed by his volunteers in Delhi and the NCR region. The raid came after a PIL filed in Delhi High Court by 12 people sought action against hoarding of oxygen and other life-saving drugs.&nbsp;
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also tweeted his support to the Indian Youth Congress. The Congress maintains, it is nothing but intimidation of their workers who are helping out those in need at this time of the pandemic.
