Spurs struggled to find their way throughout the game and after Iliman Ndiaye struck the opening goal in the 79th minute, Antonio Conte's men never recovered and lost the 5th round 1-0.&nbsp; Spurs whose trophy drought would now stretch to 15 years have exited the premier domestic cup competition at the fifth round stage for the fourth successive year.&nbsp; Meanwhile, Grimsby Town defeated Southampton 2-1 and Burnley ousted Fleetwood from the competition after registering a 1-0 win.&nbsp;

Liverpool managed to rescue their night in the 3rd round of the FA Cup and register a win against Shrewsbury Town despite being a goal down. After conceding an early goal in the 27th min of play, Liverpool managed a quick turn around in their 3rd round encounter.
