In an unfortunate turn of events, adult film star, Sophia Leone, passed away at the age of 26. She was found unresponsive when her family tried to connect with her over a call a week ago, per Daily Mail. Following this, her stepfather, Mike Romero, shared an update about it on GoFundMe to raise Memorial funds. The case is currently under investigation.&nbsp;

Sophia, who hails from Miami, was found dead in her apartment on March 1. The 26-year-old was active on her social media platforms last week. While the case is currently under investigation, her shocking death has now sparked debate online over the alarming rise in adult stars' deaths in the past few months.&nbsp;
A GoFundMe post shared by her stepfather Mike Romero confirmed her demise. It read, &ldquo;On behalf of her Mother &amp; Family, It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the news of our beloved Sophia&rsquo;s Passing. The Sudden loss of Sophia has left her family and friends devastated and in shock.&rdquo; It added, &ldquo;Sophia was a beloved Daughter, Sister, granddaughter, Niece and Friend. She had a deep love for all animals, specifically her 3 pets. She enjoyed travelling and always found ways to make everyone around her smile.&rdquo; In the post, he also asked her supporters to extend monetary help for her funeral as well as expenses related to an investigation into her death.&nbsp;
<h3>Adult stars' shocking deaths&nbsp;</h3>
In the last three months, there has been a sudden rise in deaths in the adult film industry. In February, adult film star Kagney Linn Karter died by suicide. Her case was later handed over for investigation. Before her, in January, Jesse Jane was found dead alongside her boyfriend Brett Hasenmuller in Oklahoma. Last week, Emily Willis, who was vocal about her history of substance abuse, was hospitalised following an overdose. She remains in critical condition.&nbsp;
