In a video circulating on social media, he can be seen singing &lsquo;Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte&rsquo; from Aditya Chopra&rsquo;s 2008 romantic comedy, &lsquo;Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi&rsquo;.
Suddenly, a man charged onto the stage in an intimidating manner, but Sonu expertly sidestepped him. Security quickly intervened, tackling the intruder and dragging him away while visibly overpowering him. Remarkably, throughout this chaos, Sonu continued to sing without missing a beat.
The incident left the internet buzzing with admiration for Sonu's talent and composure.
One Instagram user commented in Hindi, &lsquo;Whatever happens, one must not stop singing,&rsquo; highlighting his dedication.
Another chimed in, referencing Arijit Singh&rsquo;s praise for Sonu, saying, &lsquo;Arijit ne bilkul sai kaha thaa, Sonu Nigam ji kabhi besura gaa hi nehi sakte&rsquo; (Arijit Singh was so right&mdash;Sonu Nigam can never go off tune) with laughing emojis.
A third user expressed disbelief at how Sonu managed to keep singing perfectly while avoiding the man, calling him a legend. Someone else remarked, &lsquo;Sonu sir kitna active hain aur sur ke kitne pakke&hellip; (Sonu is so active and so skilled that despite taking such a sharp turn and running, his notes didn't change at all)&rsquo; with a red heart emoji.
However, some viewers criticized Sonu&rsquo;s security for their violent response.

Nigam reacted to Nadeem&rsquo;s post and wrote, &ldquo;Just so you all know, I have nothing to do with this. I was requested to do the song by KRK (Kamaal R Khan), who is my neighbour in Dubai. The singer also appreciated Nadeem&rsquo;s creation and his singing ability as he wrote, &ldquo;You sang this better than I did. I apologise that I did not hear your song. I heard it now. What an exceptional song and you definitely sang it better than I did. Keep it up. More blessings to you. InshAllah, may you receive more honour due to this. Lots of love and prayers.&rdquo;
When Nadeem read Nigam&rsquo;s reaction, he wrote, &ldquo;I never mentioned in my statement anywhere that you did this. The news took a different turn like it always does. I&rsquo;ve grown up listening to your songs and have learned a lot from you. I am your huge fan. Love you!&rdquo;
Nadeem further added that the ones who are responsible for this will never accept or understand what wrong did they do. He wrote &ldquo;As far as the &lsquo;actual characters&rsquo; involved in this drama are concerned, they&rsquo;re not even on my radar.&rdquo;

Singer Sonu Nigam opened up about his bond with composer Anu Malik in a recent interview and shared that initially he felt intimidated by his presence but he slowly learnt how to deal with it.
He also revealed that Anu Malik bullied him at times as he was older than him and had lot more experience.
Sonu added that Anu Malik has utilised his voice to the fullest.
Interestingly, both Anu Malik and Sonu Nigam were judges on the popular singing reality show Indian Idol, along with choreographer Farah Khan.
They also appeared together on The Kapil Sharma show.

The Oshiwara police registered a first information report (FIR) under Indian Penal Code sections 380, 454, and 457 for theft and trespassing for housebreaking and an investigation is underway.

Mumbai Police booked a former driver of singer Sonu Nigam&rsquo;s father for allegedly stealing Rs 72 lakh from his residence. Agamkumar Nigam lives at Windsor Grand building in Oshiwara, Andheri west. According to a News18 report, an official said that the alleged theft took place between March 19 and March 20.
A complaint was filed by Sonu&rsquo;s younger sister Nikita at the Oshiwara police station in the early hours of Wednesday. As per the complaint, Agamkumar had a driver named Rehan for nearly 8 months but he removed him recently as his performance was not satisfactory.
Citing the complaint, the official said, on March 19, Agamkumar visited Nikita&rsquo;s home in the Versova area for lunch. After returning home in the evening, he called his daughter to inform her that Rs 40 lakh was missing from a digital locker kept in a wooden cupboard. The following day, Agamkumar went to his son&rsquo;s home at 7 Bungalows for some visa-related work when he returned home he found another Rs 32 lakh missing from the locker, which was not damaged. On checking the CCTV footage of the society, Agamkumar and Nikita found his former driver Rehan going towards his flat with a bag on both days when he was away.
According to the complaint, Agamkumar suspects Rehan entered his flat with the help of a duplicate key.

Sonu Nigam and his team, who were performing in Chembur on Monday, were attacked by a man, identified as Swapnil Prakash Phaterpekar over a selfie. In the scuffle, Sonu&rsquo;s guru Ghulam Mustafa Khan&rsquo;s son and his close aid Rabbani Khan along with his bodyguard sustained some injuries. Later in the night, Sonu filed an FIR against the attacker and spoke to the media about the incident.

Singer Sonu Nigam and his team were manhandled at a music event in Mumbai&rsquo;s Chembur on Monday and a video of the incident is going viral on social media. Now, according to news agency ANI, a case has been registered against a man by Mumbai Police for voluntarily causing hurt, wrongful restraint and other charges.
A case has been registered under IPC sections 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (wrongful restraint), and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) on the basis of singer Sonu Nigam&rsquo;s complaint, the police said.
According to ANI, DCP Hemrajsingh Rajput told reporters, &lsquo;After live concert, Sonu Nigam was coming down from stage when a man held him. After objection he pushed Sonu Nigam and two other men with him from the steps, one of those two men sustained injuries. Accused&rsquo;s name is Swapnil Phaterpekar.&rsquo;
&lsquo;The injured has been identified as Rabbani,&rsquo; he added.
Following the incident, Sonu Nigam lodged a complaint at Chembur police station, prompting police to file a case. Recalling the incident, he told the reporters, &lsquo;After the concert, I was coming down from stage when a man held me. Then he pushed Hari &amp; Rabbani who came to save me. Then I fell on steps.&rsquo;
&lsquo;Rabbani (the injured one, who accompanied Sonu) could have died today if there were some iron rods lying down. He was pushed in such a way&hellip; you could see in the video&hellip;Even I was about to fall,&rsquo; he added.

&lsquo;I filed a complaint so that people should think about the consequences when they try to get a selfie or pictures forcefully, there was a commotion, dhakka mukki, arrogance&hellip;.,&rsquo; he said.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi told ANI that local MLA&rsquo;s son tried to reach out to Sonu Nigam after his performance for a selfie, but his body guard stopped him not knowing his identity.
&lsquo;Later there was a minor scuffle between Bodyguard and MLA&rsquo;s son due to which one or two people fell from stage. Meanwhile, MLA&rsquo;s daughter who is an ex-BMC corporater intervened and they were stopped. Injured were taken to hospital. So it&rsquo;s not an assault,&rsquo; Chaturvedi told ANI.

Times Now report quoting sources said that there was a minor scuffle after local Shiv Sena MLA, Prakash Phaterpekar's son insisted on meeting the singer.
Sonu Nigam reportedly suffered few injuries and he was immediately rushed to hospital. Many netizens have reacted to the video demanding action against the attackers.

Singer Sonu Nigam has announced that he has tested positive for Covid-19, along with his wife Madhurima and son. The singer revealed that he has contracted the virus and is currently in Dubai in an Instagram video. 
Sonu revealed in the video that he was supposed to go to Bhubaneshwar for a show shoot, but that he won't be able to do so because he is in quarantine. He captioned the video, ‘I tested Covid+. Happy New Year 2022 to the extended family.’
He said in the video, ‘I am in Dubai. I had to come to India to perform in Bhubaneswar and shoot for Super Singer season 3. I got myself tested I was positive. I got retested, I was still positive and again got retested but my results came out to be positive. But I think people will have to live with it.’
He added in the video, ‘My throat is also fine. But I feel bad for the people who have faced loss because of me. It is spreading very fast. I feel bad for us because the work has just started. I feel sorry for the people associated with theatres and also for the filmmakers. Because the work is getting affected from last two years. But hopefully, things will be fine.’
