Actor Sonam Bajwa, who actively works in Punjabi cinema, reflected on some of her experiences in Bollywood in a recent interview with Film Companion.
She recalled being dropped from a Hindi project days before the shoot was supposed to begin as the director had lost confidence in her.
She revealed a very big production house had signed a three-film deal with her. She had done proper workshops and learnt some skills for the film. However, she was dropped from the project.
Now, that she looks back she feels it was a blessing in disguise that it didn&rsquo;t work out.
When asked if she still actively auditions for Bollywood projects, and aspires to make inroads in the industry, she said, &lsquo;It doesn&rsquo;t upset me if I don&rsquo;t make it in an audition now. But earlier, if I see my journey six-seven years ago, it did hurt me, like, &lsquo;Why am I not doing a film here, or why did someone say no to me six days before a film?'&rsquo;
She continued, &lsquo;I signed a three-film deal with a very big production house, I did proper workshops, I learnt some skills for the film. But six days before, they said that the director feels extremely nervous, because it&rsquo;s his first time and you&rsquo;re very quiet. But now, when I look back, I&rsquo;m like, &lsquo;Wow, God really saved me&rsquo;. It was a blessing in disguise. It didn&rsquo;t work out.&rsquo;
Sonam Bajwa, who recently completed 10 years in films, said that she is still open to Bollywood movies, but she doesn&rsquo;t actively network for roles.

Actor Sonam Bajwa, who is currently busy promoting her Punjabi film &lsquo;Godday Godday Chaa&rsquo;, opened up about how star kids like Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday have direct access to filmmakers, unlike her in a recent interview.&nbsp;
Speaking with Bollywood Bubble, Sonam was asked what was the 'one thing' she would want to steal from young-age actresses. When the interviewer named <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/sara-ali-khan-disagrees-with-janhvi-kapoor-s-statement-that-she-didn-t-get-respect-1679418709261">Sara Ali Khan</a> and Ananya Panday, Sonam replied, &lsquo;nothing&rsquo; and then added, &lsquo;They can go to Karan Johar&rsquo;s house and discuss and get to audition. If I get to do all of that, then yeah&hellip;&rsquo;
In another recent interview, Sonam had opened up about how she was supposed to appear in the song &lsquo;Sip Sip 2.0&rsquo; for Varun Dhawan&rsquo;s &lsquo;Street Dancer 3D&rsquo; (2020), but the track was axed from the movie.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan last month, Sonam said, &lsquo;I felt very bad. Firstly, I never wanted to do a song. But the team was so looked up to. Remo is such a senior artist, director, and choreographer. Varun Dhawan is loved by everyone. I was in two minds, should I do the song, should I not do the song. But they&rsquo;d reached out to me, so I decided to go ahead. And when the song didn&rsquo;t make it to the final edit of the film, I was very disheartened.&rsquo;
Sonam was recently seen in the US Tour of The Entertainers along with actors Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi, Mouni Roy, and others.&nbsp;
Besides &lsquo;Godday Godday Cha&rsquo;, Sonam Bajwa will also be seen in &lsquo;Carry On Jatta 3&rsquo;.

Punjabi actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh shared a new poster of his upcoming film &lsquo;Honsla Rakh&rsquo;.
The &lsquo;Good Newwz&rsquo; star treated his fans with a quirky poster of the romantic comedy, which also stars Sonam Bajwa and Shehnaaz Gill.

'Honsla Rakh' will mark Shehnaaz's comeback after the sudden death of her rumoured boyfriend, actor Sidharth Shukla.
