Harshit Rana and Ravi Bishnoi's three-wicket hauls helped India clinch a thrilling 15-run win over England in the fourth T20I match at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Friday, handing the Men in Blue an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series.&nbsp;
The Indian bowling dominated the second innings with early wickets. The hosts got an advantage after Harshit Rana replaced concussed Shivam Dube in the second inning. Rana's presence in the playing eleven gave a huge boost to the Men in Blue bowling attack as he turned out to be the hero for the team in crunch situation.&nbsp;
Philip Salt (23 runs from 21 balls, 4 fours) and Ben Duckett (39 runs from 19 balls, 7 fours and 1 six) cemented a partnership of 62 runs and gave a fiery start to the Three Lions.&nbsp;
Ravi Bishnoi drew the first blood in the second inning as he removed Duckett in the 6th over. Following the first wicket, India got an upper hand on the visitors and started to remove the top England batters from the crease.&nbsp;
Skipper Jos Buttler (2 runs from 3 balls) failed to shine during the run chase and succumbed in front of Bishnoi in the 8th over. Harry Brook (51 runs from 26 balls, 5 fours and 2 sixes) was the only England player to put up a show in the second inning. His fiery knock gave hope to the visitors to clinch the game. However, the English youngster was removed from the crease in the 15th over by Varun Chakravarthy.&nbsp;
In the latter part of the game, Jamie Overton (19 runs from 15 balls, 1 four and 1 six) and Adil Rashid (10* runs from 6 balls, 1 six) tried to pose a scare by adding some crucial runs on the board but fell short against the Indian bowling attack.&nbsp;
Harshit Rana and Ravi Bishnoi led the Indian bowling attack as they picked up three wickets each in their respective spells. Varun Chakravarthy also bagged two wickets in his four-over spell while giving 28 runs. While Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel took one wicket each in their respective spells. India will take on England in the final match of the series in Mumbai at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on February 02.&nbsp;
Earlier in the first inning, India had a sloppy start, however, it was the efforts of Hardik and Shivam which helped the Men in Blue to set a target of 182 runs for England on Friday.&nbsp;
After winning the toss, Jos Buttler-led England decided to bring Suryakumar Yadav's India to bat first. The Three Lions had a great start to the match with three quick dismissals at the score of 12. However, the Men in Blue turned around the match on a great note and gave a whopping target.&nbsp;
The opening partnership of Sanju Samson (1 run from 3 balls) and Abhishek Sharma (29 runs from 19 balls, 4 fours and 1 six) had a disappointing start to the game as they could only cement a partnership of 12 runs.&nbsp;
England seamer Saqib Mahmood was on fire in the second over as he removed India's top three batters without giving a single run to the opponent. Mahmood removed Samson, Tilak Varma (0 runs from 1 ball) and captain Suryakumar Yadav (0 runs from 4 balls) in the second over. It was also Mahmood's first over of the tour and he started it with a triple-wicket maiden.&nbsp;
It was the first time this had happened in a men's T20 international. Following the early wickets, Abhishek and Rinku Singh (30 runs from 26 balls, 4 fours and 1 six) made a 45-run partnership to give India a kickstart in the match. However, Adil Rashid removed Abhishek in the 8th over.&nbsp;
While Rinku lost his wicket in the 11th over. Hardik Pandya (53 runs from 30 balls, 4 fours and 4 sixes) displayed a stupendous performance and slammed his half-century in the 18th over.&nbsp;
Along with Hardik, Shivam Dube (53 runs from 34 balls, 7 fours and 2 sixes) also put up a show and smashed his fifty in the 19th over. The duo of Hardik and Shivam took India to 181/9 in the first inning. Ravi Bishnoi remained unbeaten on the crease till the end.&nbsp;
India's win was no doubt a thrilling affair, but it also came with some controversy due to Harshit's entry as a concussion substitute (which are supposed to be like-for-like replacements) for Dube after the all-rounder went off the field during innings break after being hit by a delivery from Jamie Overton during the final ball of India's innings.
While Dube is a batting all-rounder who can bowl some useful medium pace, Rana is a genuine pacer who can touch 140 kmph and is a capable lower-order batter. But he is not classified as an all-rounder.&nbsp;
Speaking after the match in the post-match presser, Buttler said, "It is not a like-for-like replacement. We do not agree with that. Either Shivam Dube has put on about 25mph with the ball or Harshit has really improved his batting. It is part of the game and we really should have gone on to win the match, but we disagree with the decision."

Buttler also said that there was no consultation for the decision with England.

It was Shivam Dube once again who scored a match-winning 63 not out with a strike rate of almost 200. Jaiswal also scored 68 as India crossed the finish line with 26 balls to spare.

It was a do or die match for Afghanistan in order to stay alive in the 3-match T20I series but a clinical Team India beat the visitors by 6 wickets in Indore and took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

It was Shivam Dube once again who scored a match-winning 63 not out with a strike rate of almost 200. Jaiswal also scored 68 as India crossed the finish line with 26 balls to spare.

Riding on a flurry of mighty maximums, Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed Afghanistan's bowlers to smithereens with swashbuckling half-centuries as India made short work of a 173-run target to win the second T20I by six wickets here on Sunday.
While Yashasvi got out after hammering 68 off 34 balls, including six sixes, Dube ended unbeaten on a 32-ball 63, hitting four maximums in the process.
India completed the chase with 26 balls to spare, taking an unassailable lead in the three-match series.
Gulbadin Naib top-scored with a breezy 35-ball 57 before the lower-order batters Mujeeb Ur Rahman (21 off 9 balls) and Karim Janat (20 off 10) chipped in with useful contributions to lift Afghanistan to 172 all out.
India's chase began on a eventful note that saw a first-ball boundary by Yashasvi Jaiswal, a loud shout for an lbw and an unsuccessful Afghanistan review, and a first-ball duck for Rohit Sharma.
In his first T20I since November 2022, Virat Kohli began with a lovely boundary before Jaiswal smashed Fazalhaq Farooqi for two sixes.
Recreating the famous shot he played against Haris Rauf in the last T20 World Cup at MCG, Kohli hit a short-of-a-length Naveen-ul-Haq delivery back over the bowler's head for a four. On that night in Australia though, it was a six.
Having switched ends, Mujeeb leaked 19 runs with Jaiswal collecting three fours and Kohli one.
However, Naveen-ul-Haq cut short Kohli highly promising stay at the crease by having the maestro caught at mid-off for a 16-ball 29.
Unperturbed by the Kohli's dismissal, the duo of Jaiswal and Dube went about their task in a brutal manner, leaving the Afghan bowlers bruised and battered.
Asked to bat first, Afghanistan opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz signalled his intent straightaway and flicked Arshdeep Singh (3/32 in 4 overs) for a four through square leg and then tried to hit one straight down the ground, which however did not result in a boundary.
While Arshdeep started the proceedings with two wides on either side of the wicket, Mukesh Kumar was welcomed with a six over the bowler's head by Gurbaz, before his opening partner Ibrahim Zadran, having got a review for lbw in his favour, got into the act by lofting one over cover for a boundary.
Trailing 0-1 in the three-match series, Afghanistan raced to 20 for no loss in no time, forcing Rohit Sharma to introduce spin in the form of Ravi Bishnoi (2/39 in 4 overs).
Leg-spinner Bishnoi, who has a penchant for picking a wicket in his first over, did an encore as he lured Gurbaz to offer a catch to Shivam Dube at mid-on, having failed to get elevation.
Taking a cue from Gurbaz's approach, one-down batter Gulbadin Naib started to play his shots from the get-go, pulling Mukesh through mid-wicket and then driving him through for successive fours.
Fresh from a wicket in his very first over, Bishnoi found himself at the receiving end of Gulbadin's onslaught as the batter pulled a short ball over deep mid-wicket for a maximum before hitting back-to-back fours in an 18-run over at the Holkar Stadium.
There was another bowling change and it paid dividends as left-arm spinner Axar Patel bowled visiting captain Ibrahim Zadran with a beautiful flighted delivery that turned just enough to beat the batter and hit the stumps.
Azmatullah Omarzai did not last long as Dube hit the stumps after the batter went for a cross-batted pull shot and missed.
Axar bowled an economical eighth over before Gulbadin carted a Dube slower ball into the stands over deep mid-wicket and followed that by launching a half tracker towards the long-on region for another maximum.
Promoted to number three, Gulbadin brought up his fifty in 28 balls. There was no respite for Washington Sundar either, as Gulbadin swept the off-spinner for a big six over deep mid-wicket.
India's best bowler on the day by some distance, Axar (2/17 in 4 overs) provided the crucial breakthrough when he had Gulbadin caught at mid-wicket by Rohit, having bowled one slightly slower than his usual deliveries.
Afghanistan's innings lost momentum after Gulbadin's departure even as Bishnoi dismissed Mohammad Nabi.

Shivam Dube made a punchy return to India fold with a match-winning 60 off 40 balls against Afghanistan in the first T20I here, and credited the iconic MS Dhoni for the transformation in his attitude and approach.

"When I came to bat, I wanted to implement what I have learnt from MS Dhoni about finishing games. I keep speaking to Mahi bhai. He tells me about how to tackle different situations. He has given me two-three tips and rated my batting.
"So, I feel if he rates my batting then I'll keep playing well. My confidence went up because of that," Dubey told 'JIO Cinema'.
Dubey's previous appearance for India was in last year's Asian Games at Hangzhou.
The Mumbai player was part of the India squad for home T20I series against Australia but did not get a chance to play and was not selected for the away series against South Africa.
Dubey also found shades of Dhoni in the way Rohit Sharma captained the side, and allowed him the space to perform.
"Both allow me to bat higher in the order. There's a lot of work to be done and I know they will back me and want me to do well. So, that makes me feel a lot more positive," he added.
Dubey also grabbed the important wicket of Afghan captain Ibrahim Zadran (25 off 22 balls), and the pacer said he has been working on his bowling.
"The changes have not come suddenly. In the off-season, I worked a lot on my fitness. After that, I bowled a lot in domestic cricket too so things kept improving.
"I was able to find the right areas and also generated decent pace," he said.
The 30-year-old Mumbaikar was cautiously optimistic about his chances of finding a place in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup in June.
"It's a dream for every cricketer to contribute and help his country win. So, that's (selection for WC) always at the back of the mind. But there's a lot of time left for it, so I want to take it step by step," he added.&nbsp;
