Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Sunday attacked Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar over the split in the Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party and accused them of "stealing parties".
The Shiv Sena split in June 2022 after a rebellion by Shinde, while the NCP got divided after Ajit Pawar joined the state government along with eight MLAs in July last year.
"Some are stealing their uncle's party and some are stealing somebody else's party. Have the guts to form your own party and take us on," he said in a swipe at Pawar, whose uncle Sharad Pawar founded the NCP, and Shinde, whose Sena was started by Uddhav Thackeray's father late Bal Thackeray.
Hitting back, CM Shinde said, "We are taking forward Balasaheb's party. Those who gave up his ideology for power should not speak about us." Shinde routinely accuses Thackeray of abandoning Hindutva to join hands with the Congress and NCP to become chief minister in 2019.&nbsp;

Election Commission of India (ECI) on February 17 allotted the party name "Shiv Sena" and the symbol "Bow and Arrow" to the faction led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

The chief whip of Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) Bharat Gogawale with other MLAs reached Vidhan Bhavan on Monday and gave notice to the Speaker of the Maharashtra Assembly Rahul Narvekar asking for the handover of the Shiv Sena legislative party office at Vidhan Bhavan. Gogawale said that the office at Vidhan Bhavan belonged to the Shinde faction after the ECI order.
"We have given a notice to the Speaker. We are following the orders of ECI. We will take a call on how to proceed further. Since ECI has recognised us as Shiv Sena, so this office belongs to us now," he said.

Notably, both factions of Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde and Uddhav Thackeray) have been fighting for the bow and arrow symbol of the party since Shinde (present Maharashtra Chief Minister) revolted against Thackeray last year.

While the Shinde faction welcomed the decision of being recognized as the real Shiv Sena, the Uddhav Thackeray faction said they would move the Supreme Court. The Uddhav Thackeray faction accused the Election Commission of haste and said the decision shows "it works as BJP agent".

Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray on Friday took a dig at the Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government over Vedanta-Foxconn choosing Gujarat over Maharashtra to set up its semiconductor plant, saying that "one engine of the double-engine government has failed".
Addressing party workers in Ratnagiri as part of the 'Shiv Samvad Yatra', the home district of rebel Sena MLA and state Industries Minister Uday Samant, Thackeray said the CM as well as the minister were clueless about the details of the project.
"How did the project go out of Maharashtra when we had done so much follow-up with Vedanta? The chief minister and the industries minister were clueless about this," Thackeray said in the rally.
In any other state, the chief minister would have asked for the industries minister's resignation, he said.
He said the state government was also unaware that a bulk drug park also slipped out of the hands of the state and is coming up in Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat.
"How did one engine of the double-engine government fail?" he asked.
Double engine government is the term the BJP uses for its government at the Centre and another in the state which it claims can help in seamless development.
He said the state government was also unaware of another project by Airbus, which could come up in Nagpur. It was only after he raised the issue that the state government woke up and said they will ensure that it comes up in the state.
Thackeray also trained his guns at the rebel MLAs led by Shinde and said they "back-stabbed" his father and the then chief minister Uddhav Thackeray when he was ailing.
A political blame game started after Vedanta-Foxconn signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government on Tuesday to set up a semiconductor and display manufacturing unit in the state. As per the MoU, the joint venture of the Indian conglomerate Vedanta and Taiwanese electronics manufacturing giant Foxconn will set up a semiconductor and display manufacturing unit in the state.
Vedanta-Foxconn would invest Rs 1,54,000 crore to set up the facility, which is expected to create one lakh job opportunities.

The development assumes significance as recently the poll panel has asked the rival factions of the Shiv Sena led by Thackeray and Shinde to submit documents by August 8 in support of their claims on the election symbol -- bow and arrow -- of the political outfit.&nbsp;
The poll panel sources had said the two sides have been asked to submit documents, including letters of support from the legislative and organisational wings of the party and the written statements of rival factions.&nbsp;
The fresh plea has been filed in a pending petition by Subhash Desai, the general secretary of the Shiv Sena and seeks the nod of the top court to make the poll panel also a party.&nbsp; The Thackeray faction has also written to the poll panel requesting it not to go ahead with the plea of the Shinde faction in view of the pendency of a batch of petitions in the top court.&nbsp;
The plea terms the plea of the rival Shinde group to get the poll sybmol and the tag of the real Shiv Sena as an act of &ldquo;desperation&rdquo;.&nbsp;

The Thackeray group filed representation before the EC last week after the Shinde faction of the Shiv Sena had written to the Commission seeking allocation of the party's 'bow and arrow' election symbol to it, citing the recognition granted to them in the Lok Sabha and the Maharashtra Assembly.&nbsp;
The top court on July 20 had said the petitions filed by the Shiv Sena and its rebel MLAs during the recent Maharashtra political crisis raised constitutional issues including split, the merger of a political party, defection, and disqualification which may require consideration by a larger bench.&nbsp;
The bench headed by Chief Justice N V Ramana, meanwhile, had extended the operation of its July 11 order by which it had asked Assembly Speaker not to proceed with a plea seeking disqualification of MLAs of Thackeray faction as sought by the Shinde group on grounds of defying the party whip during the trust vote and the election of the speaker.&nbsp;
The bench is seized of as many as six pending pleas about the recent political crisis in Maharashtra that led to the fall of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in the state.&nbsp; The first one was filed by the Shinde faction during the summer vacation when some rebel Sena MLAs moved before it challenging the disqualification proceedings initiated by the deputy speaker.&nbsp;
The rest five pleas have been filed by the Thackeray faction. The Shiv Sena split last month when more than two-thirds of the party's MLAs withdrew their support from the Maharashtra government led by Uddhav Thackeray, throwing their lot with Shinde.&nbsp; Shinde was sworn in as the Maharashtra chief minister on June 30 with support of the BJP.&nbsp;
