Shooter Asghar Ali Khan is contemplating legal action against makers of Amazon Prime Video's 'Sherni', starring Vidya Balan.
Calling it a 'twisting of facts', Khan said that the movie is laced with factual errors as they have portrayed the death of the tigress Avni as murder and is projected as if it was done with a political motive.
He argued that the movie could damage their reputation and add 'fuel to the fire' to the sensitive matter which is already subjudice.
However, in reply to the notice served by the Hyderabad-based shooters, Abundantia Entertainment Pvt Ltd clarified that 'Sherni' is a creative work of fiction and does not depict Asghar Ali or his father.
The filmmaker denied that the movie will hamper 'any supposed ongoing investigation' or damage his reputation or his father&rsquo;s reputation.

Actor Vidya Balan said that her latest drama 'Sherni' is an ode to countless women who navigate their way and overcome several challenges, sometimes even without making any noise.
Balan who plays an upright forest officer tasked to resolve the man-animal conflict, said the film is a representation of women of all kinds, who are striving to make a change.
The 42-year-old actor said there's a 'sherni' in each Indian home and the film is her salute to all of them.
'Sherni' is set to stream on Amazon Prime Video on June 18.
