Share Market Today: Sensex makes history, ends above 50k for first time

Indian equity benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty ended at record high levels on Wednesday for the third straight session.&nbsp;BSE Sensex jumped 458 points or 0.92 per cent to end at 50,255.75, while the broader Nifty 50 index settled at 14,790, up 142 points or 0.97 per cent.&nbsp;IndusInd Bank&nbsp;was the top Sensex performer, rising over 7.5 per cent. It was followed by&nbsp;Power Grid Corporation of India, Dr Reddy&rsquo;s Laboratories,&nbsp;Sun Pharma,&nbsp;Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra&nbsp;and&nbsp;Bharti Airtel, among others. On the flip side,&nbsp;Maruti Suzuki&nbsp;was the top Sensex laggards, along with Ultratech Cements,&nbsp;ITC,&nbsp;Kotak Mahindra Bank,&nbsp;Asian Paints,&nbsp;Nestle India&nbsp;and&nbsp;TCS.
