The reports said he was carrying a parachute and told police that he wanted to BASE-jump from the top of the building.

A British man was detained after climbing more than halfway up the world's fifth-tallest skyscraper in Seoul with only his bare hands on Monday, authorities said.
More than 90 emergency, police and other personnel were dispatched to Seoul's 123-story Lotte World Tower after the man was spotted scaling the building on Monday morning, the Seoul fire agency said in a statement.
The man, in his 20s, reached the 72nd floor, which is about 310 metres (1,020 feet) high, before officials took him to a gondola lift and moved him inside the building, the statement said.
South Korean media reports identified the man as free climber George King-Thompson.
Fire and police authorities didn't immediately confirm the man's name or his motive.
Police confirmed they took custody of the man for an investigation, but didn't provide further details.
The fire agency statement said he suffered a cut on his skin on the right knee but was otherwise fine.
In 2018, French climber Alain Robert, known as &ldquo;Spiderman&rdquo; for his daring stunt, was also detained after climbing the 75th floor of the Lotte World Tower.
Lotte officials said they heard he was eventually released and left South Korea after they told police they didn't want to press charges for obstruction or trespassing.

A massive fire broke out inside one of the last remaining slums in South Korea's capital on Friday, forcing 500 people to flee their homes ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, authorities said.
Video posted online showed flames tearing through Guryong village, a shantytown in the shadows of high-rise luxury towers in Seoul's Gangnam district, which was made famous by rapper Psy's global hit "Gangnam Style".
The blaze, which began at around 6:30 am, is believed to have burned down around 60 homes, but was extinguished by around noon, according to authorities.
No casualties have been reported and the cause of the fire is still unknown, they added.
"We are thinking of carrying out an additional investigation into the case," Choi Jae-young, an official from the Seoul Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Headquarters, told AFP.
Residents said they were not surprised by the blaze.
"There have been a lot of safety concerns in the community when it comes to fire, and it looks like they were never acknowledged properly" by authorities, Lee Woon-chul, 65, who has lived in the village for 30 years, told AFP.
"The houses are very old, and the electric wires are dangerous and have been poorly managed. Sparks inside houses have been common," he said.

South Korea's National Police Agency has raided local police departments in the capital, Seoul, and the city's Yongsan district office as it investigates whether official ineptitude contributed to a deadly crowd surge that killed 156 people in the neighbourhood of Itaewon.
The raids came after the national agency acknowledged that Seoul police failed to act for hours despite receiving at least 11 emergency calls from pedestrians warning about a swelling crowd of Halloween revelers getting out of control ahead of the crush on Saturday in a narrow alley near Hamilton Hotel.
The national agency said members of its special investigation unit were retrieving documents and other materials from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and Yongsan's police station, district office and fire department and other offices. Local officials and police have faced sharp questions about why they didn't employ crowd controls or sufficient personnel in the small nightlife district despite anticipating a crowd of 100,000 following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in recent months.
National police chief Yoon Hee Keun also acknowledged Tuesday that its initial investigations found that police officers failed to effectively handle calls notifying authorities about the potential danger of the crowd gathering in Itaewon.
Yoon said police have launched an intense internal probe into the officers' handling of the emergency calls and other issues, including the on-the-spot response to the crowd surge in Itaewon that night.
South Korea's interior minister and emergency office chief, the Seoul mayor and the head of the Yongsan ward office, which governs Itaewon, have all offered public apologies.
As of Wednesday, 156 people were confirmed as dead and 157 were being treated for injuries after they were trampled in a crowd surge centered in a narrow alley that runs between the hotel and a dense row of storefronts.

According to Korean Times, Everland theme park has closed all festivals, including a parade featuring classic Halloween characters such as skeletons and witches, till November 20. Another theme park, Lotte World, located in southeastern Seoul, has also cancelled its Halloween-themed events.

The bustling alley of Seoul's lively Itaewon district, known for its night life soon turned into a death trap for many as the crowd that had gathered for the first major Halloween celebration since South Korea lifted most Covid-19 restrictions went out of control leading to a stampede on Saturday.
According to an AFP report, nearly 100,000 people turned up for Halloween festivities in Itaewon's narrow alley which did not have enough space to accomodate such a rush.&nbsp;
150 Party goers, mostly in their teens and 20s, clad-in Halloween costumes were crushed in the stampede in the clogged alley of Itaewon while over 100 are injured.&nbsp;
Jeon Ga-eul, 30, who was having a drink at a bar at the moment the stampede hit told AFP, "My friend said: something terrible is happening outside,". "I said: what are you talking about? And then I went outside to see and there were people doing CPR in the street."
The crowd was exceptionally dense on Saturday night, eyewitnesses told AFP, with Jeon saying that even ahead of the disaster, he had felt unsafe.
"There were so many people just being pushed around and I got caught in the crowd and I couldn't get out at first too," he said.
One eye-witness described on Twitter the panic that started when people "kept pushing down" into the already crowded alleyway.

This resulted in "other people screaming and falling down like dominoes," the Twitter user with the handle "jkaesthet1c" wrote.
"I thought I would be crushed to death too as people kept pushing without realising there were people falling down at the start of the stampede," they added.
Some survivors claimed that nearby stores and establishments on the alleyway had blocked people from coming in to escape the crush.
Meanwhile, South Korea's President Yoon Suk-yeol has declared a period of national mourning Sunday and has ordered a probe into the tragedy.

With 286 new Covid-19 cases reported from&nbsp;capital Seoul, South Korean government has decided to impose stricter measures. Business that cannot operate contact-free, gyms and schools are to be shut, and restaurants are to provide delivery and takeout foods only after 9 pm. These measures will be imposed from Sunday for the the next 8 days in the greater capital area. Officials said that the cluster of virus spread was becoming difficult to control since the opening of schools, churches and restaurants. More than 4,70,000 business are expected to be hit in Seoul by these measures. South Korea saw an addition of 4,300 cases over the past 15 days.
