Witnesses said that the fire started at around 7.30 pm in the complex that houses several offices.

A deadly fire broke out in a multi-storey building in Telangana's Hyderabad on 16 March 2023.
More than 5 people were killed in the fire at the commercial complex in Secunderabad. Twelve people were admitted to different hospitals and six of them died during treatment, police said.
Witnesses said that the fire started at around 7.30 pm in the complex that houses several offices. More than 10 fire fighting vehicles, including four fire engines, were rushed to the spot to extinguish the blaze as huge flames leapt out from one of floors of the eight-storey building earlier.
Another official supervising rescue operation said till midnight, there was still a lot of smoke coming out of the building and it will take some time for it to subside.

Eight people died in the fire incident that broke out in the Ruby Hotel in Secunderabad. It is being reported that the explosion took place while charging the electric scooter.
According to police, at the time of the accident, there were 25 occupants in the hotel, which is very close to the passport office.
Initial investigation of this incident discloses that one of the bikes or generators possibly exploded. 
Locals, along with police and fire departments, worked hard to rescue those that were stuck in the hotel.
According to Hindustan Times reports, four of the five people accused in the case were formally arrested on Wednesday and produced before a local court, which remanded them in 14-day judicial custody.
DCP Chandana said that four commercial gas cylinders were also found in the cellar and were leaking.

The fire incident in Telangana's Secunderabad hotel that claimed the lives of eight people on Monday is likely to have started from an electric scooter that was being charged in the basement, a senior Hyderabad Police officer said based on CCTV footage from the establishment.
A massive fire broke out on Monday in the Ruby Pride Luxury Hotel, close to the Secunderabad railway station, which led to the deaths of eight people.&nbsp;
Locals, along with police and fire departments, worked hard to rescue those that were stuck in the hotel.
&ldquo;The building is equipped with 32-channel CCTV cameras, of which, 25 cameras are functioning. A study of the footage obtained from them after the mishap pointed out the origin of fire and it appears that the smoke first emerged from an e-bike kept for charging,&rdquo; deputy commissioner of police (North Zone, Hyderabad) Chandana Deepthi said.
DCP Chandana said at least 28 electric two-wheelers, eight petrol bikes and several generators and open batteries were completely destroyed in the fire. She added that four commercial gas cylinders were also found in the cellar and were leaking.
