Hansal Mehta and Karishma Tanna expressed their gratitude on social media after 'Scoop' won big at at Asia Contents Awards and Global OTT Awards 2023 in Busan, South Korea.

Hansal Mehta's Netflix series 'Scoop' bagged top honours at Asia Contents Awards and Global OTT Awards 2023 in Busan, South Korea. It won Best Asian TV series and Best Actress for Karishma Tanna.
The Netflix series was nominated in these two categories at the ceremony.
The director took to social media to share the big news and said that it was a huge honour for the entire team.
Hansal Mehta wrote, &lsquo;We won! Best Asian TV Series at Busan. #BIFF23.&rsquo;

Actor Karishma Tanna, who was present at the ceremony, went on stage to collect her award.
She later expressed her gratitude on social media and wrote, &lsquo;And we Bring it Home 🇮🇳. 'Scoop' is based on Jigna Vora's book 'Behind Bars in Byculla'. It follows the story of intrepid crime reporter Jagruti Vora.
After a fellow journalist is murdered by the Chhota Rajan gang in 2011, Jagruti&rsquo;s investigation into the murder leads to her being arrested and falsely accused of the crime. The series was released on Netflix in June.

Hansal Mehta&rsquo;s latest series &lsquo;Scoop&rsquo; released on Netflix on June 2. The crime drama, which stars Karishma Tanna, Harman Baweja, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, has been reviewed by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap on social media and he is full of praise. Taking to Instagram, Anurag Kashyap called &lsquo;Scoop&rsquo; a brilliant show and mentioned that it&rsquo;s brilliance lies in the fact that Hansal Mehta is that one rare filmmaker who did not make his previous path breaking show &lsquo;SCAM&rsquo; into a formula and replicate it in his next show. He said Scoop, with its own storytelling, is honest and rooted in its world, does not create unnecessary drama or sensationalises it, doesn&rsquo;t look to replicate the dynamism of Scam, and tells the story that it actually is, with economy and patience. Anurag Kashyap added, &lsquo;A breakout performance from @karishmaktanna and as usual a brilliant @mohdzeeshanayyub .
