Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer 'Satyaprem Ki Katha', which tackles the theme of date rate and trauma, has earned over ₹100 crores worldwide.
 Now, in a recent interview with PTI, director Sameer Vidhwans has opened up about his film and said that the movie aims to sensitize men to become allies of women in dealing with the patriarchal mindset of society.
He said, 'This is a story of a feminist husband. Women have to fight for their rights because society is quite patriarchal. And if we want to deal with a patriarchal society, then men need to have sensitivity.'
 He further said 'With our film, we have given a kind of a husband who says that, 'You go and become the hero, I will be the supporting character of your story'.
 Later, Sameer addressed the criticism the movie received on social media for showing Kartik's character as a saviour.
 'I think the critics missed out the dialogue where Sattu says, 'I will be the supporting character of your story.' He says it twice in the movie. He doesn't say that I will save you and become a hero. But he says that you have to become the hero, and I will provide the support. The battle has to be fought by the girl and this is what he tells her. So he is just a pillar of support for her,' Sameer concluded his statement.
 Satyaprem Ki Katha also stars Gajraj Rao, Supriya Pathak and Shikha Talsania in pivotal roles.

As they entered the theatre after the film ended, the audience was excited to see the on-screen pair in front of them and they gave the duo a heartwarming standing ovation.
 Kiara and Kartik expressed their gratitude with folded hands. Sharing the video, Kiara wrote, &lsquo;When the audience gives you a standing ovation, that&rsquo;s when you realize magic has been created...A moment to cherish forever...All I want to say is Thank You from the entire team of #SatyapremKiKatha.&rsquo;
 Kartik also posted the same video and wrote, &lsquo;This Standing Ovation isn&rsquo;t just for Sattu and Katha but for the entire team that worked tirelessly towards this result...Gratitude.&rsquo;
 &lsquo;Satyaprem Ki Katha&rsquo;, directed by Sameer Vidhwans, also stars Supriya Pathak and Gajraj Rao in pivotal roles. The film has earned over ₹ 25 crore at the domestic box office.

'Satyaprem Ki Katha’ received a positive response from the audience due to its impactful social message. The film which released on Eid al-Adha has been attracting audience to the theatres because of positive word of mouth.

&lsquo;Satyaprem Ki Katha&rsquo; showed growth on day 3 and now its total three-day collection stands at ₹26 crores.

&nbsp;Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' had a decent opening on its release date, June 29, but on day 2, the film showed a slight dip. Now, as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film maintained its pace and earned ₹10 crores on day 3.
The total earnings of the film now stand at over ₹26 crore.
 Sharing the box office figures, Taran Adarsh wrote, '#SatyaPremKiKatha hits double digits on Day 3&hellip; The weekend growth was on the cards and if it maintains the pace, a ₹ 40 cr [+/-] *extended* weekend cannot be ruled out&hellip; Thu 9.25 cr, Fri 7 cr, Sat 10.10 cr. Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' had a decent opening on its release date, June 29, but on day 2, the film showed a slight dip. According to film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie earned only ₹7 crore as compared to ₹9.25 crore on day 1.
The total collection of the romantic drama is now around ₹24.46 crore.Sharing the box office figures, Taran Adarsh wrote, &lsquo;The working day [Fri] - immediately after the holiday [Thu] - impacted the earnings of #SatyaPremKiKatha on Day 2&hellip; Evening shows, however, saw good momentum at national chains&hellip; Thu 9.25 cr, Fri 7 cr. &lsquo;Satyaprem Ki Katha&rsquo;s latest track &lsquo;Pasoori Nu&rsquo;, which is the remake of the original Coke Studio hit &lsquo;Pasoori&rsquo; by singers Ali Sethi and Shae Gil, has upset the fans as well as Pakistani celebrities. The Hindi track, sung by Arijit Singh and Tulsi Kumar, has been criticised for &lsquo;butchering&rsquo; the original track which dominated charts upon its release in 2022.
 Now, former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar has also taken a sly dig at the Bollywood track. Taking to Twitter, he wrote, &lsquo;Aye ki pasoori paayi ay (What is this tripe).&rsquo;
 His tweet received several replies from his fans.
 &lsquo;Beraa ghark kr k rkh dea (They have destroyed it),&rsquo; a user wrote. Another commented, &lsquo;Pakistan ke pasoori ka pasoora bana dia inho ne (They have completely messed up Pakistan&rsquo;s Pasoori).&rsquo; A fan wrote that Pakistani artistes aren&rsquo;t allowed to work in Bollywood anymore after the 2016 Uri attacks but the industry comfortably uses Pakistani songs for commercial purposes.
 &lsquo;Banning Pakistani artists from working in the industry, meanwhile having no shame remaking and not to add butchering a beloved pop culture hit just to create a little buzz around your next film.  Others, including Pakistani actors Adnan Siddiqui and Amar Khan were direct in their criticism. &lsquo;Satyaprem Ki Katha&rsquo;, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, will release in cinemas on June 29.

 Kiara Advani smiled and waved at the cameras as she arrived for the screening in her car. She wore a beige skirt suit for the event.
 Kartik Aaryan sported a casual style for the screening. He wore a white t-shirt and blue jeans. He was seen outside the studios, as he was leaving after attending the special screening. He posed for the cameras, folding his hands and even making a hand-heart gesture.
