Arthur, who has a long-term contract with English county side Derbyshire, also turned down the offer of a consultant's role.

Former Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur has rejected an offer from the Pakistan Cricket Board to return as the national team's head coach.
In a statement, PCB confirmed that their talks have fallen through despite the board's second proposal offering a consultant's role.
According to a PTI report, Arthur, who is currently the head coach of English county side Derbyshire wasn't willing to give up his long-term contract due to his unpleasant experience with the board in the past.
Pakistan's current head coach Saqlain Mushtaq's tenure will end after the 3rd ODI vs New Zealand and the former off-spinner had already informed the board of his wish to not extend his term.

Ramiz Raja has been a target of the Pakistani media ever since the Men in Green failed to win the Asia Cup. He has been criticised for PCB not picking a very strong middle order which puts a lot of pressure on the opening duo of Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam.
However, the PCB chief wasn't happy with the way Pakistani media have been critical of the national side.
During a live TV show, Ramiz said that when Virat Kohli had scored an unbeaten 122 against Afghanistan in Asia Cup, India had forgotten that they were out of the tournament, but the same wouldn't have applied to Babar Azam as the media would have rather focussed on his strike rate.
In reply, the Pakistan anchor brutally trolled Raja in epic fashion.

Anchor: That is because Kohli hadn't scored his 71st (international) century for three years. Or else it wouldn't have been that important.
Ramiz Raja: What are you talking about? He dropped four catches in that match that too against a team like Afghanistan. And my point is that, if a Pakistani batter scores a century why isn't it run in that fashion in the media?
Anchor: Unn chaar catches chootne ko toh main kudrat ka nizam kahungi (I would call those four catch drops as laws of nature) because this 'kudrat ka nizam' is very famous these days.
The phrase 'kudrat ka nizam' was recently used by Pakistan head coach Saqlain Mushtaq after their loss in one of the matches in the home series against England earlier this month, for which the Pakistan cricket legend was heavily trolled and criticised.

However, Pakistan's head coach Saqlain Mushtaq feels otherwise. In the press conference after Pakistan's match against Sri Lanka, Mushtaq said that the captain is in good form but it is his luck which is not in his favour. 
"Babar is in good form. It is just that his luck is not going his way. The kind of boundaries he has hit against India. A batter with deeper eyes will say that his form is fine, It is his luck which is not going his way," Mushtaq added

With Babar failing to notch up big runs, his teammate Rizwan has dethroned him from the top of the ICC T20I rankings as well. 
During Men In Green's last Super 4 match against Sri Lanka, there was also a moment when wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan asked for the review and Babar had to remind his teammate that he is the captain. 
Come Sunday, Pakistan will be hoping that their captain finds his form back in the final against Sri Lanka given ICC T20 World Cup is around the corner in a month's time. 
And if Men In Green want to repeat their last edition's success, when they reached the semifinal of the marquee event then they need their captain to come good with the bat. 
Before the T20 World Cup Down Under, Pakistan are scheduled to play seven T20Is, starting September 20, against England at home followed by a Tri-series, involving Bangladesh, in New Zealand. Pakistan will begin their ICC T20 World Cup campaign against India on October 23 at Melbourne cricket ground. The India vs Pakistan match in T20 World Cup will begin at 1:30 PM IST.
