Seven people, including owners of an eatery, in Vadodara were arrested for allegedly selling beef samosas.&nbsp;

Owners of an eatery in Vadodara were arrested for allegedly selling beef samosas. The police had arrested seven men on April 8 after a probe found that the shop selling mutton samosa was stuffing cheaper beef to earn profits.
Acting on a tip-off, the cops seized a total of 113 kg of beef as well as 152 kg of the filling prepared to make the samosas from the popular Hussaini Samosa suppliers.
The police arrested the owners Yusuf Sheikh and Naeem Sheikh along with their four workers.
The coops further said that the shop did not have a license from the municipal corporation or the food safety department.&nbsp;
"They were selling these samosas across the city without mentioning to their customers," Panna Momaya, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Vadodara, said, according to India Today.&nbsp;

While samosas are easily available at local shops, a viral video showcasing an automated machine in a factory churning out 25,000 samosas every day alongside a team of workers is gaining huge popularity.
Large quantities of potatoes are seen being loaded into the machine and are peeled, boiled and mashed and later mixed with masala and coriander leaves. Then the dough is prepared with the help of the machine and workers and fried in oil. Netizens are amused seeing this mass production of their favourite snack.

Samosa lovers here's some good news for you! A recent report by Assocham, titled &lsquo;Indian Cuisine at Crossroads&rsquo;, stated that samosa is a healthier option as compared to burgers.&nbsp;
According to the report, samosa is made of healthier ingredients like cumin, boiled potatoes, peas, salt, chillies and spices, whereas burger contains preservatives, sugar, vegetable oil, mayonnaise and cheese which are harmful to our health.&nbsp;
However, the report also suggested that samosas are directly made of refined flour (maida) and to make burger loaf soft and spongy 'yeast' is added in refined flour. Also, burgers can be frozen and stored but samosas are always eaten fresh. Hence, samosas are way healthier than burgers.

Samosa is now not only our favourite snack to go with tea but according to a survey even UK youngsters are prefering eating samosa or granola bars with tea. The age-old tradition of having biscuits with tea in UK, is being replaced by more filling options which also include samosa.&nbsp;
The survey was done by the United Kingdom Tea &amp; Infusions Association (UKTIA), which says that granola bars are prefered by one in ten 18 to 29-year-olds, while samosa took the second place after it, being prefered by about 8% youngsters who took the survey.&nbsp;
