<p>Bollywood actor Saiyami Kher has reached a remarkable milestone by completing the Ironman 70.3 triathlon in Germany. She is now the first Indian female actor to conquer this grueling race, which consists of a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km bike ride, and a 21.1 km run.</p>
<p>The Ironman 70.3, often referred to as the Half Ironman, is one of the toughest endurance events globally. Despite its demanding nature, Kher crossed the finish line, proudly adding this achievement to her personal and professional accolades.</p>
<p>Reflecting on her journey, Kher shared, &lsquo;Crossing the finish line of the Ironman 70.3 and getting that medal has to be one of the proudest moments of my life. This has been on my bucket list forever, and I am just so happy I finally did it! Training for an Ironman while juggling 12 to 14-hour shooting was tough. There were days when motivation was nowhere to be found, and it really felt like a battle with myself.&rsquo;</p>
<p>Kher shared the challenges she encountered along the journey, including missed flights and lost luggage, but she emphasized the importance of resilience.</p>
<p>Saiyami added, &lsquo;I&rsquo;m very happy I managed this, not just for finishing but for the journey that got me here. It showed me the power of determination and how if you put your mind to something no one can stop you. I&rsquo;ll carry this moment with me forever! I want to be a Lambi race ki ghodi not only in endurance sport but also in my acting career&rsquo;.</p>

Now, during an interview session actor Saiyami Kher has shared her thoughts on Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial.<br><br>During an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Saiyami was asked about her opinion on the film. The actor said if she has to watch a Ranbir Kapoor film, she would rather watch 'Rockstar' and 'Barfi' as he is &ldquo;the best the country has&rdquo; but she won&rsquo;t revisit 'Animal.'<br><br>Saiyami said, &ldquo;Personally, for me, I have been told very strongly do not tell your opinions, because nobody wants to hear that. <p>Saiyami Kher received a handwritten letter and a bouquet from legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, praising her performance in R Balki&rsquo;s sports drama &lsquo;Ghoomer&rsquo;.</p>
<p>Amitabh Bachchan's letter, which was dated August 19, 2023, read, &lsquo;Saiyami, In admiration--your grit, your sincerity, your level-headedness performance, and the brilliance of your presence in Ghoomer. May the accolades never diminish for you. Love and regard (Amitabh's signature).&rsquo;</p>
<p>Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a long note and also posted several pictures.</p>
<p>Saiyami captioned the post, &lsquo;I remember seeing a short film called Looking for Amitabh on how the visually challenged perceive this icon. From describing his trademark baritone to the sound of his shoes, or the scent of his perfume. We don&rsquo;t even see Mr Bachchan, but we can experience the impact created by this superstar. As a kid, the signature KBC tune meant it was bedtime. My parents would come back from work. And my grandparents would finish up their chores. Despite our diverse interests and age gaps, this one show brought three generations together.&rsquo;</p>
<p>She also added, &lsquo;If there was a contestant who gushed over Mr Bachchan, Aiedu, my grandmom would sit preening about him. She did this until her last breath. He was after all from her part of the country. Any compliment to him obviously meant a compliment to her. He represented the heartlands of our country. He represented the fulfillment of dreams. He represented hope.&rsquo;</p>
<p>Saiyami continued, &lsquo;Since I began acting, there have been many ups and downs. There were so many people who brushed me off telling me I was &lsquo;hopeless&rsquo;. But I tried keeping my head above the water. While every rejection hurt, every rejection also made me work harder. I've always kept everything bottled up.&rsquo;</p>
<p>She added, &lsquo;At the premiere of Ghoomer in Melbourne, everybody was sobbing. Show some emotion Kher saab, AB said as he hugged me after our standing ovation. But I stood there seemingly zen about everything. In reel life I can cry buckets, in real life, you will never know how I&rsquo;m feeling.&rsquo;</p>

<p>After Indian cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle, former cricketer Virender Sehwag has shared his review of Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher starrer &lsquo;Ghoomer&rsquo;. He shared how he never respected spinners nor listened to his coaches but he was forced to listen to Abhishek and respect Saiyami's performance.</p>
<p>Sharing his review of &lsquo;Ghoomer&rsquo;, Sehwag said in the video, &lsquo;Kal maine Ghoomer picture dekhi. Bahut ajhi lagi. Bahut dino ke baad cricket ki picture dekhne mein bahut anand aaya. Kyunki isme cricket to hai magar emotion bhi hain aur sportsperson ki struggle kya hoti hai iska idea bhi aajayega aapko, khaskar injury se wapis aana kitna alag level ka struggle hai ye pata chal jayega (I watched Ghoomer yesterday. I loved it and enjoyed watching a cricket film after so long. It not just has cricket but emotions too. You will know the struggle of a sportsperson especially how coming back after an injury is struggle of another level).&rsquo;</p>
<p>He further said, &lsquo;Maine waise spinner ko respect nahi deta hu magar Saiyami Kher ne jo ghoomer dali hai wo lajawab hai. Ye role bahut hi mushkil tha magar unhone emotional kar dia. Waise main coach ki bhi sunta nahi tha magar Abhishek Bachchan ne aisi acting ki hai ki aapko unki baat zarur sunni padegi. 18 August ko Ghoomer zarur dekho family ke saath aur inspire ho jao. Jaise Bachchan sahab ne kaha, main bhi kah raha hu, &lsquo;I love this game&rsquo;. Dher saare aansu leke jana kyunki aapko rulayegi bhi (I never respect a spinner but the way Saiyami has spinned the ball was amazing. I never listened to my coach but the way Abhishek has acted, you will have to listen to him. Watch Ghoomer on August 18 and get inspired. <p>Indian cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle, who recently watched R Balki&rsquo;s &lsquo;Ghoomer&rsquo;, reviewed the film on social media. He shared how he was apprehensive before watching the Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher starrer but all his apprehensions and uneasiness were put to rest as the film was wonderful.</p>
<p>In a video posted on Twitter, Harsha said, &lsquo;I went to see a movie recently and I went with a combination of excitement and unease. A little bit of unease, because I didn't know how I'd react to film where I knew a lot of people in it. I've known Balki for a long time. There's been a debate in the house or whether we like Cheeni Kum more or Paa more. I was always on the Paa side, my wife was on Cheeni Kum side. I've been invested in Sayami Kher's performance as she is an outstanding anchor and also a cricketer. I wanted to see how she combined the two. So I was a little confused about how I'd react to the film with people that I knew in it.&rsquo;</p>
<p>He added, &lsquo;I was also a little concerned about how the cricket would be shot. We've all seen sports movies where the emotion is built up, the drama is built up and then suddenly the sport starts and you say, yeah, they tried to teach the actor cricket but it's not working. Within the first ten minutes or so, that first fear was gone.&rsquo;</p>
<p>He said that Saiyyami was making all the right moves and he was soon fascinated with how Balki focused on the little things carefully.</p>
<p>&lsquo;It's not just Saiyyami - who is a proper cricketer. She's an actor, but she's also a proper cricketer. So there was never going to be any doubt about that, but also on how the rest of the characters play. When there's an India-England game, they're all cricketers playing and he (Balki) didn't compromise on that. That gives the movie a touch of authenticity,&rsquo; he said.</p>
<p>He added that Saiyyami being an actor as well as a cricketer helped her bring all the nuances of her character and make it all look authentic.</p>
<p>Talking about Abhishek's performance, Harsha said, &lsquo;Then there was Abhishek Bachchan. I think he lives the role of the coach. Sometimes you can have a coach who's trying to motivate a player, whether it's the hard way or the soft way, but sometimes the lines can appear a little straight out of a motivational lecture. I love the way Abhishek married the two into his character. I could recognize a couple of cricketers within the character that Abhishek plays, but I'll leave it for you to decide. But needless to say, he is outstanding especially in the first half.&rsquo;</p>
<p>Harsha then said that the film is about hope, more than anything else. He added that he liked the fact that the film does not &lsquo;talk down women's cricket&rsquo;, or other issues that plague our society. He wrapped up his video saying that he is not a reviewer but he loved the way the story of a Hungarian athlete was woven into the Indian setup and the language of cricket was chosen for the same.</p>

<p>Actor Saiyami Kher talked about her experience of dealing with &lsquo;toxic beauty standards&rsquo; in a recent interview with Hindustan Times. She revealed that when she started out, there were a lot of people who asked her to get a lip and nose job.</p>
<p>&lsquo;I think is a very wrong advice to give to 18-year-old. It&rsquo;s like the society you&rsquo;re living in is cooperating and accepting the way you are, but you don&rsquo;t fit the norms set by the industry,&rsquo; she said.</p>
<p>Saiyami asserts that she believes in embracing one&rsquo;s individuality. &lsquo;These norms really didn&rsquo;t bother me, but I hope they completely disappear from our industry. we need to accept diversity in showbiz,&rsquo; she said.</p>
<p>Saiyami Kher also credited her friends and family for helping her deal with criticism.</p>
<p>&lsquo;They are the only ones whose opinion really matters. Positive criticism is great as it improves you in a better way, but I was very fortunate to have them around me as they embraced and supported me, Kher shared.</p>
<p>Acknowledging the positive changes that have already started to happen in the industry, she said, &lsquo;Things are getting better... There is more awareness and we are celebrating these days with regards to everything, which is very necessary in films, as it&rsquo;s a large medium where people get easily influenced&rsquo;.</p>
<p>Saiyami Kher will soon be seen in &lsquo;Ghoomer&rsquo; alongside Abhishek Bachchan. The movie will release in cinemas on August 18.</p>
