A day after screenwriter and director Saeed Akhtar Mirza called &lsquo;The Kashmir Files&rsquo; &lsquo;garbage&rsquo;, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri responded to the statement by sharing a promo tweet for his next film &lsquo;The Delhi Files&rsquo;.
Sharing a screenshot of Saeed's statement, he tweeted, &lsquo;Maine kaha Mirza sahab ko Salaam. Fir milte hain Janaab, The Delhi Files ke baad (I say, salutations to Mirza sir. Let us meet again after The Delhi Files). 2024.&rsquo;
In another tweet, he wrote, &lsquo;I never wanted to say this but I think it&rsquo;s time to speak the HARSH TRUTH: All their lives they made films on Muslim victimhood. Only India has a genre called &lsquo;Muslim Social&rsquo;. Hindus made these people rich &amp; famous. Yet, ungrateful Bollywood has zero empathy towards Hindus.&rsquo;
In an interview with Indian Express, Saeed talked about &lsquo;The Kashmir Files&rsquo; and said, &lsquo;For me, The Kashmir Files is garbage. Is the Kashmiri Pandit issue garbage? No, it&rsquo;s not. It&rsquo;s real. Is it just Kashmiri Hindus? No. Muslims, too, are caught in an incredibly vulgar trap of the machinations of intelligence agencies, nations with so-called national interests, and paid guys from across the border, who continue to create havoc. The point is not to take sides. Be human and try to understand.&rsquo;
&lsquo;The Kashmir Files&rsquo;, starring Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, and Pallavi Joshi, talks about the 1990 exodus and killings of Kashmir Pandits.
