The teaser of Alia Bhatt's maiden production venture 'Darlings' has finally been released. The short clip opens with the actor narrating an gripping tale of a frog and a scorpion. It highlights a few romantic moments between Alia and Vijay and goes on to show how their dislike for each other grows post marriage leading to tragic events. 
The dark comedy is based on the lives of a mother-daughter duo who are fighting against all odds to survive in Mumbai.
Alia Bhatt shared the teaser on social media and wrote that 'It’s just a tease Darlings.' The post has left everyone intrigued and celebrities like Zoya Akhtar, Rakul Preet Singh and Sophie Choudry have penned their thoughts in the comment section. 
The film also stars Shefali Shah and Roshan Matthew in pivotal roles. 
'Darlings' is being co-produced with Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. The film, which has been directed by Jasmeet K Reen, will release on August 5.
