Many stars attended the 72nd NBT Awards in Mumbai on November 15. Celebrities like Janhvi Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, Rakul Preet Singh, Mrunal Thakur, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raveena Tandon, Shilpa Shetty, Rohit Saraf, Shabana Azmi, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis were among others who were present at the event.
Sidharth Malhotra, who bagged the 'NBT Maha Utsav Best Actor Award' for his performance in 'Shershaah', took to Instagram and shared a video of him receiving the award from Fadnavis. The video was captioned, 'Grateful and humbled to receive the &lsquo;NBT Maha Utsav Best Actor Award&rsquo; for my contribution towards Hindi Cinema through #Shershaah from our Hon. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis'.
Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi bagged 'Youth Icon award' at the event. He also shared a video on Instagram and wrote a heartfelt note for his grandfather in his native dialect, Bhojpuri. Rohit Saraf, recently featured in the Second Season of Netflix's 'Mismatched', won the 'Gen Z Star Of The Year Award' at the ceremony. He thanked NBT for the honour through an Instagram post.

Actor Rohit Saraf is on cloud nine after receiving positive feedback for his Netflix series &lsquo;Mismatched&rsquo; season 2 and film &lsquo;Vikram Vedha&rsquo;. In a new interview, Rohit mentioned how excited he was to share the screen space with Hrithik Roshan and also revealed that he almost lost out on the film due to availability issues.
In an interview with Puja Talwar, Rohit said that dates for &lsquo;Vikram Vedha&rsquo; and &lsquo;Mismatched&rsquo; shoot clashed, but everything thing fell into place after Hrithik made a phone call and got him on board.
&lsquo;I just hoped to not be in a situation where I would have to leave this film because my dates were not available. I would be so upset about it, that&rsquo;s exactly what happened. Dates (for the Vikram Vedha and Mismatched shoot) were exactly the same,&rsquo; he said.
He said <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/hrithik-roshan-shares-throwback-picture-with-saba-azad-from-their-london-trip-writes-girl-on-a-bench-1665727225021">Hrithik </a>called &lsquo;Mismatched&rsquo; director Akarsh Khurana, and said he wanted Rohit Saraf to be part of the film. Following this Akarsh managed some days. However, Hrithik understood they couldn&rsquo;t cancel the entire schedule of &lsquo;Mismatched&rsquo;, so, the entire schedule of &lsquo;Vikram Vedha&rsquo; was pushed by 5 days.
&lsquo;They waited for me to come and be a part of it. When I heard Hrithik sir himself called my director to get my dates, that day I was like &lsquo;even if this film doesn&rsquo;t work out I&rsquo;m ok with it because I know what this means to me. How big of a deal this is,&rsquo; he added.
&lsquo;Vikram Vedha&rsquo;, directed by Pushkar and Gayathri, is the Hindi remake of 2017 Tamil film of the same name. Rohit Saraf portrayed the role of Hrithik Roshan's brother Shatak, who mistakenly gets killed in an encounter.
On the work front, Rohit Saraf will be next seen in &lsquo;Ishq Vishq Rebound&rsquo;, directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari. The film also marks Hrithik&rsquo;s cousin Pashmina Roshan&rsquo;s acting debut.
