Hours after China confirmed on Sunday that debris from its largest rocket Long March 5B had disintegrated over the Indian Ocean and&nbsp;landed near Maldives, American space agency Nasa slammed the Chinese administration for failing to meet 'responsible standards' regarding space debris.
"Spacefaring nations must minimize the risks to people and property on Earth of re-entries of space objects and maximize transparency regarding those operations," said NASA Administrator Sen. Bill Nelson in a statement released on the space agency's website Sunday.

According to reports, a large part of the debris that will crash back to Earth is roughly 100 feet long and weighs over 20,000 kg, making it one of the longest debris to ever fall on the earth.
The crash is likely to happen between latitudes 41.5 degrees north, which runs through North America, Southern Europe, and China, and 41.5 degrees south, which falls in South America, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
China has maintained that the falling rocket is unlikely to cause any damage.
